I finally got to my mailbox before 7 and pick up my packages! I looked like a kid in the candy store opening up the boxes filled with goodies that I've been waiting for. I finally got my stash of Juggernaut.
AND my suit for the competition finally arrived as well along with my competition shoes, bracelet and earrings. Woohoo!!! Sad to say that the shoes does not fit but I'm loving the suit! Whew, less things to think about. Now just have to get another pair of shoes, rings, tanning lotion, and oil =)
I am so exhausted but since I'm in the "no excuses" mode, I went to stop by the gym. Prior to that, I did stop by Piblix to pick up a few things. There's this water that is infused with mint. I decided to give it a try. After tasting it by itself, I decided to drinkit with the Juggernaut. Not bad! I also took the rest of my BCAA, L-Cartinine, and CLA.
Oh thank goodness I had some Juggernaut! Let's just say I was so exhausted that I would have slept on the concrete in the parking lot if given the option. And so as you can tell I was stepping it up for Cardio. I was doing the elliptical machine and using weights with me so I can increase my heart rate and provide more intensity. The Warrior was playing so I was really pumping it tonight. I think I'm falling in love with this stuff!
I took some Vitamin C and glutamate before heading to bed. And some casein as well.
Good night! Can't wait to rest up and rise to a new day =)"Just Do IT" - Nike

Ahhhh feeling so refreshed this morning. Yes, I really needed that rest =) now just needed to make sure to drink plenty of water to take out this bloated feeling.
I must say that I've been bad this morning. My meal consisted of egg whites, 2 slices of sour bread, hot dog, strawberries, cup of coffee, and 2 huge Polish hazelnut flavored wafers. >.< I did take my daily dosage of morning supps.
Since I'll be gone for most of the day, I stashed on 3 whey oatmeal pancakes so I don't fare too badly for the day."Just Do IT" - Nike

Hahaha, I wish that's what only happened. Being in the road meant not having too many healthy choices. Ended up stopping by the Tiki Room. Well one thing for sure, I can't eat an entire burger much less try eat more than one onion ring. It's either because I'm eating clean lately or I'm letting my imagination fly regards all my hard work going to waste. Eating junk food isn't as much fun =(

I eat between 120g to 150g of carbs. I used to eat only 60 to 80 g but I couldn't finish my workouts. So my trainer made me eat a lot more. Surprisingly, I dropped 7 lbs in one week after doing that and I have much more energy. But eating clean actually made it challenging to meet my recommended carb intake. Well I suppose that's a good prob.

Before heading out, I ate another wafer and drank a glass of Juggernaut so I won't fall asleep in the bike. My body has a weird way of wanting to fall asleep when I'm not actually active. I did take my BCAA, L-Carnitine, and CLA as well.
Riding around the back roads meant not too many places with healthy options. So we chose a place that has a pretty setting instead. Oh goodness, it was actually hard to eat a burger and more than one onion ring. After just a couple of bites, my appetite went away =( I did take another dose of BCAA, L-Carnitine, and CLA.
We stopped by Starbucks. I was given a skinny vanilla latte and a tiramisu pop cake. By then trying to be "good" went out the window. So when I came home, I refused to eat a biscuit and opted only for a hot tea. I'm going to be paying for today for the next few days...
At least I learned that my body is not craving saturated fat as much anymore which is a good thing. That was one of the biggest challenges last season."Just Do IT" - Nike

i'm curious.. you said you receive your competition rings, shoes and bracelet? ... you wear the rings and bracelet in the competition? doesn't that draw away from the physique a lil, wearing jewelry? ......
and by the way, what competition are you entering? npc or obf ??Henry Pun ---->>> http://www.********.com/iamhyp

Yes, you do. The accessories help you to stand out in the competition. Of course your physique gives you huge points. However when you are being compared with other athletes, you really want to stand out to get noticed. That's why aside from looking fantastic, you have to have great presentation. It's still a show. So you still have to "perform". that's why it is also highly recommended to practice your posing ahead no matter which category you are competing in. There's so much to do in regards to the competition.
I'm with NPC. Are you competing as well?"Just Do IT" - Nike

Holy crap girl, 7 lbs in one week!! Amazing how small changes can have the most pronounced effects on our bodies- nutrition is such a delicate science! I also keep my protein around the 150 range- I'm curious, do you count kcals as well, or emphasize on macro's?? And when are you competing?! I am competing in figure in May (first timer :-/)
You look awesomeeeee!!!!! So glad there's another girl on here too! Lady Juggz lolMighty Mouse

Aw, thank you =) yep it does. I find that it becomes even more delicate when you're in this sport prob because everything count. My trainer has me only counting macros. I really can't tell you much about how many calories I'm eating. But I can say the protein, carbs, and fat intake. I'm competing in June for the first one this year to give myself enough time to get much bigger. I simply have to work really hard on my upper body because Im naturally small there. But my lower part is my forte.
I'm so excited for you! The first time is the most intimidating. But it's also a lot of fun. There's a lot of great ladies to meet. Have fun in the process and you'll enjoy it anymore. Are you excited?!
How did you get such marvelous abs??? And you look AMAZING already. I'm sure you'll take home that trophy!!!"Just Do IT" - Nike

I definitely understand the posing being a huge part, it was the jewelry that threw me off, lol...
.... I don't compete yet... key word: yet but i'm torn between npc and natural as i hear npc doesnt test which means other competitors could get the upper hand when it comes to physique comparisons (of course, referring to men aspect of it)Henry Pun ---->>> http://www.********.com/iamhyp

Well, there are some events that are natural under NPC. However, there are also other organizations which I'm not too familiar about as well that you can compete in. I recently just found out that one of my friends competes under NGA. He's a promoter for this event: http://www.sunshinestatechampionship.com/. I think the best way is just to speak with competitors from all organizations. I signed up for NPC just because that's where my trainers compete in and I wanted to get started right away. Like anything you would do in life, do your research and find an organization that you feel the most comfortable in because that's where you want to ***shine*** =)

im a posing coach and can tell you, the posing itself can make you or break you. I tell all my competitors to do 30 mins a day of posing. Its an insane workout(isometric workout) and even if you have the best body up there, if your posing is off, it won't look as good..... so you said it perfect! be comfortable and SHINE!

My goal this week is to drop down to 115 lbs. Sounds like much but most of it is just flushing away "junk" from my body. I'm planning to come in at 105lbs for the competition anyways so might as well lean out in advance instead of trying to cram everything down in the last minute and end up hurting myself in the long run.
This morning started out with the usual morning supplements. Meal #1 consisted of Vanilla protein pancakes which is why I'm surprised to check my log and see that SuperMaine posted that he's going to posting a protein pancake recipe. YUM!My protein pancakes consists of (1 c. of oatmeal flour, 2 scoops of whey powder, 1 c. of water, and 3 egg whites). I ate only 1/2 of the batter so I can have another one for another meal later today =)
Meal#2 consists of 1/2 c. of brown rice, 4oz. of white fish, 1 c. of spinach, and 10 rings of hot banana peppers.
Meal#3 consists of 4oz. of steak, 1 c. of green beans, and a medium apple. I'll be taking my BCAA, L-Carnitine, and CLA with this meal as well.
I rushed out the door so fast that I forgot to bring in more brown rice from home =( This calls for grocery shopping! Thank goodness that it's just next door.
I'm looking forward to a really AWESOME workout with my trainer today for upper body. Can't wait to show her my suit too. Posing practice is going to come up soon!
Oh yeah, I might as well put it out there that I'm planning to drink up 1.5 gallons of good ole H20 today. Which should be a cinch because today consists of a hard workout. But still, might as well be held accountable for putting it out there =D"Just Do IT" - Nike

I agree with you wholeheartedly! It's my biggest weakness last year. A really good thing to do is not to leave competitions until after you speak with the judges. They'll clue you in on what to work with. For example, one of my biggest challenges was walking comfortably on heels. You really have to "own" the stage. Our head judge said that I have great positive energy but I have to walk more "naturally" on those heels. And that's why I bought a 7 inch heels to practice with. Well, on stage, I would only be using 5" but if you can "work it" with 7", 5" is easy peasy. AND... don't try to start practicing posing til the last minute! You HAVE to practice weeks in advance! As SuperMaine mentioned, it's an insane workout. You know you're doing great when you're sweating your head off even when you're just posing. The last thing you'll want to do is try to figure out how to flex your muscles at what time, and which ones to give off a great presentation when you're already on stage. It'll really make you look unprepared.
