"I'm told by people within Redskins they are prepared to offer picks 1,2 and 3 this year, at least a 1 next year to move up to get RG3 at 2"
http://www.rotoworld.com/recent/nfl/...rt-griffin-iii
"Teams sources tell NBC Philadelphia's Howard Eskin the Redskins are prepared to offer the Rams their top three 2012 picks and "at least" their 2013 first-round pick to move up to draft Baylor QB Robert Griffin III.
If true, it would be a positively Ricky Williams-ian haul for the Rams, who saw the value of their No. 2 pick increase even further on Sunday when Griffin was unofficially timed at a blazing 4.38 in the 40 at the Combine. Eskin's report comes two days after SI.com's Tony Pauline reported the Rams have engaged in "exploratory talks" with the Redskins about a swap. "
I'm all for this. We saw what Allen and Shanahan can go with little picks going into the draft, so I'm confident than can pull some more wizardry like last year's draft to recover the missing picks. We NEED a franchise QB. We have had really bad QBs since Mark Rypien! I'd be willing to trade away this year's draft for RG3. Has has a solid running game and a defense is already solid except for Landry's health. Jarvis Jenkins coming back is like a second-round pick right there.
Just adding RG3 to the offense could take us to the playoffs. Our D was solid last year, but out offense, despite scoring more points than we'd seen for a few years, was our downfall. This was mainly due to Rex's turnovers and lack of clutch plays.
Also, our O-line could use some more work, but RG3's speed will lessen any effects of a bad line with his running ability. He's a great fit for Shanahan's offense that loves the playaction and QB roll-outs.

God I can't wait till draft day, when the skins end up with their 1st bonafide qb in ages. I don't know how I'm gonna deal with a real offense from this team.

Fred Davis
Hankerson(Some one I expect to really shine if he stays healthy)
Those two most of the fan base expects good things from.
Then you have Niles Paul/Aldrick Robinson/terrence austin
Not sure what these guys will do next year.
Then you have the vets
Moss/gaffney/Armstrong
Rumors are we are going after TWO wr in FA
It's almost known and a sure thing that Eddie Royal will be coming here and full time slot.
So we are looking at a starting WR core of
1-FA WR
2-Hankerson
Slot-Moss/Royal
Possesion WR Gaffeny(the best of the young guys imo Niles Paul)
Robinson going back to PS. Armstrong cut and austin MIGHT get cut if we draft a wrRedskins-Orioles

Insiders are saying VJax, and Garcon. We had a trade in place for Vjax two years ago but SD and their GM are sick kunts. I honestly think it will be one of those two. Then Royal will be here. He has already sold his home in Denver and has a home in VA and was drafted by Shanahan in Denver.
The front office has been going after 24-27 year old free agents. So if you follow the two year history my money is on Garcon who is 25 and Royal is 25. I would LOVE Bowe but I think KC will use the tag on him
rg3-QB
helu/royster/hightower-rb
garcon/hankerson/royal/moss/gaffeny/paul-wr (robinson goes to PS,Banks/Stallworth and maybe Armstrong get cut)

Yes please.

I was a little surprised that Garcon turned down a deal in Indy to play with Luck. Think he'll take a deal to play with RGIII? Have no idea what he's thinking. Yeah, I don't see KC losing Bowe. Guy is a fan-favorite and better than anyone they could possibly get in return and you need at least one legit WR to play in this league.
Will be interesting. Time to start getting into football again.

Doubtful Garcon will end up in Washington. Word is we will go after Vjax in FA and its been stated that Eddie Royal wants to be in Washington and Shannahan wants him here. So i suspect Royal and Vjax in FA. Hank just underwent surgery and will miss OTA's but will be in training camp. Depending on how his rehab goes and how quickly he can get back into football shape I expect a pretty good year from him. He looked good right before he got hurt. Paul is a possession receiver type, he does all the little things right, he blocks well, hes solid on ST's. Id like to see him in the passing game a little more but dont see that happening unless Gaffney gets hurt.
P.s. RG3 or bust! Would also love to pick up DB Trumaine Johnson out of Montana. Big physical corner at the LOS and goes up and gets the ball. Kid will be a playerLast edited by MachMe4.6; 02-28-2012 at 08:13 AM.

02-28-2012, 11:02 AM #1214Deals and trades are on the table
Fletcher-3 years 22 million aka Ray lewis deal
Fred Davis-4yr deal top 5 TE money all incentive based on production/staying out of trouble--if he does not take it tag will be used
Landry-3 year small guaranteed money rest based on health--if he tests FA skins will let him walk
Carriker-3 year small deal rotation money/small guarantee money
All four offers on the table until March 13th 12:01 am
Montgomery/Scotts deal already done. Could still be going for Myers in FA. Skins are going for a #1 wr and it's a lock for Royal to be in DC.
"Hand Shake" deal is in place/on the table 2012 1/3/5 2013 1/3
All of this is info in a email given by a insider of the Skins and someone I have known for a long time. Dude is legit
From what I "know" skins are going 8 mil a year 5 years..I think Garcon will take that and I don't know if Vjax will.
Hank I think will be a good WR not a true number 1
Paul will replace gaff by 2013.shanahan loves that guy
Robinson is a guy I really like and he is a long shot..but holy shiit is he fast..when I was in dc for camp I watched him burn everyone on the defense..so freakin fast but has issues coming out of the breaks aka Anthony Armstrong
existing cap space will transfer next year we also have no major contracts ending next year..would love to go into FA with another 50 mil if Calvin Johnson becomes a FA..I'm dreaming but fukkkLast edited by problemz; 02-28-2012 at 11:18 AM.

Clev is not willing to trade picks Washington is. And that's what it boils down to. Yes you and everyone else is right if Clev wants RG3 bad enough and is willing to trade 3-5 picks for him then the #2 is theirs. We will all know by the 13th of next month at the latest if Washington is getting that pick(which they are). The front office is doing that to set up F/A and to show potential new players what they are bringing to the table.

Back channels. Clev has said they are not looking to trade that many picks. Then you look at the history of the front office and coach..they don't trade picks. Then you listen to what they have said about Colt he will be back and they will bring in someone to challenge/help Colt..You think if you're trading picks for a rookie that it's just to challenge Colt? No you bring a rookie in after trading picks and he is top 5 he is a STARTER.
Browns will use those picks to get better. RG3 is not a fit in clev..you're basically going to be in the same damn spot you're now. but with less draft picks
Rams and ESPN will say Clev is in the race but we will know soon enough they were never real players for that pick.Last edited by problemz; 02-28-2012 at 01:03 PM.

Doubtful.
I know those guys but I'm getting my info from two other people. One who works for a major company who works with agents. The other is a inside media for Washington.
If somehow and I doubt it someone outbids us for RG3 and we are at 6. Ryan will not be drafted in the top 10. We will trade down. The point of getting this done before FA is Manning/other options.

He has the talent but not the experience I honestly think he will become a great NFL qb. Also think Weeden will be pretty solid for a 5-8 year windowRedskins-Orioles

Shanny apparently loves Brandon Weeden from OSU too after coaching him in the Senior Bowl.
Dude is ALREADY 28YO though. Sounds like John Beck, an old rookie.
If we don't get RG3 at #2, I think there's a 99% chance we trade down to get more picks like we did in 2011. We can get a Tannehill, Kellen Moore, Weeden, Foles or Cousins later.
It would be better served to use that first pick on an O-lineman to protect that less-talented QB or a safety. I expect we'll take care of WR in FA before the draft.
