no go, was stuck on Apple logo/loading screen until plugging back into iTunes which had me restore to factory settings

thankfully had a backup even though it took over 3 hours to put everything on

You have to manually go in and change the names for certain icons. Its a pain in the ass, which is why I don't theme.

You can either create a wallpaper specific folder on your desktop for itunes to sync up to, or you can save a image from IOS5 browser and wallpaper it from camera roll.

I am aware of those methods. But what I meant to say was, when using iFile, and I go into var/stash/wallpaper/ , I only find the crappy Iphone built in wallpapers..How do I add a picture of for example myself in that map?

You would have to use SHSH to access your phone through your computer and then drop the files into there. I think there was a save app that would allow you to save your stuff in a particular folder other than the camera roll folder. So you could just save the image from safari into var/stash/wallpaper.

Just make sure you guys are getting themes that say iOS 5 ready or whatever. Otherwise you'll be pulling a mission trying to rename like 500+ files.. Look up Boxii its pretty nice. Comes with icons, UI, keyboard, SB Settings.. Pretty much covers the entire phone.

hey guys, how do you change the wall paper on your lock screen?

I have the slanted lock screen, and my background is based on the weather, but I would like to change it to my own background

Dont know if this was answered, or if you will see this, but here goes!


1. Find the wallpaper you want to use in var/mobile/media/DCIM/100apple. Hit edit, then bottom right arrow and select copy. Then hit done.

2. Find the theme you want to change the wallpaper of in var/stash/themes. Open it and delete wallpaper.png and paste the wallpaper that you want in there and rename it to wallpaper.png by hitting the little blue arrow next to it.

You will need iFile btw

That is because they are not app store apps. They are cydia apps/tweaks.

Holly SH*T this navigation APP is great.

If you live in the US, just get NAVIGON.

If you live outside USA, you can borrow a friend's Garmin unit and extract their map.ISO and use GPSmapEdit to load then transform the garmin map to .NM2 (navitel) and use it on the iPhone/iPad GSM. We all know Garmin make the best maps, so being able to transform their data and use it in Navitel is just AMAZING.

BTW, to get this to work, you need to Jailbreak your iDevice. Unless you are mentally challenged, your iDevices SHOULD be jailbroken now that EVERY device can be Jailbroken on 5.0.1

I had the intelliscreenX trial installed, then uninstalled it when i didn't want it.

That is the only thing i can think of that would affect it that way. I only use one theme, and I turned it off to see if that was the case.

I can't think of any tweaks that would change those icons, or overwrite them.

I finally found a fix for the issue I was having with Installous. The issue was every time I'd install an App/Game from Installous, white icons would appear on my springboard, which resulted in me having to respring my device every single time for an App to properly install. This gets annoying in general. But every time you respring your battery stats reset and won't start again until you fully charge your device.

Here's the fix; Go to SB Settings and click on more. Once in SB Settings go to Dock Applications. Then simply click on "fix blanks" and that's it.

Jailbreak brahs. How do you fully back up your phone. Pics/Contacts/Apps. As far as I know If you back up through I tunes you lose all your JB apps and your jailbreak. That Icloud or what ever it is called keeps saying It hasnt backed up in over 3 weeks as I have reached the storage limit and I need to buy more.

Is there another way?

iTunes. As long as you have 'app sync' installed from Cydia, it'll transfer your apps/games into iTunes even if you got them from Installous.

There are ones that are reminder apps to tell you but do you really want a 3rd party having all your financial information? Probably not a good idea
