Hope everyone is doing well and able to keep on track. My weights finally starting to move back down from 145-145lbs down to 143lbs, still bloated as all hell so I feel more is going to come off soon. I've decided to up cals from 1500 to 1800 for now, lots of stress and illness going on and recomp is easier to handle than dieting, still at least a 300 cal deficit though.
If this were easy, everyone would walk around ripped.

I'm having a bit of trouble getting my cals down to where I want...trying for 1750cals but averaging 2000cals weekly ...I'm just so hungry all the time...lol...today is the day though, I will stop eating at 1750cals(got to be optimistic here right ). I haven't weighed myself this past week(TOM so not a good idea) but was out shopping a couple of days ago and someone I haven't seen for a couple of months commented that I look slimmer so I'm not down about my failed attempts to cut my calories...just going to keep at it, everyday is a frest start right. Have a great day everyone

Started my diet (I feel like I have way too much fluff to be able to call it a cut lol) 2 weeks ago and so far it's been great. I'm taking in 1600 calories a day and losing at 1 lb per week but for the first time in forever my measurments wents down last week!!!! YEY OMG I was so happy you'd of thought I'd of won the lottery lol
I'm finding that my focus is really good so I'm not feeling deprived and I've not been starving hungry. Don't want to lower my cals anymore though as I feel like for the moment I've got it spot on, but I'll re- assess if needed. Here's to embracing the suck*N.A.S.M CPT*

Hello everyone!!! I joined bb.com a while back to get bulking support... it's been almost 6 months now and it's almost time to cut!!! I used to count calories and macros obsessively but I stopped around thanksgiving and decided just to give that a break for a bit. My "diet" starts next week (Feb. 1st) so I'll be back to counting then. I started at 122lbs and super lean and I'm now 137lbs... gained 15lbs total. Can't wait to get to know everyone here

I have been lurking on the bulking thread and on this thread and have decided I need to cut a bit before I bulk. I am 5'3.5 and I weigh 125lbs. I was sick after finding out about multiple food intolerances from October to December (no more dairy, gluten or eggs for me) and couldn't really eat much. I dropped from about 130 to 124. Once I started feeling better my appetite went crazy and the last couple of weeks I have been averaging about 1700-2000 cals per day. I weighed myself last Saturday after a month and I had only gained back one pound to put me at 125. I am taking a rest week this week but next week I begin Stage 7 of NROLFW and despite being sick, I have actually gained a small bit of muscle. I want to cut about 5lbs and then reevaluate. I am thinking of cutting for a few months and then recomping for the summer and depending on where I am, starting a bulk in the fall. I can't wait to eat more!

Hi guys,
First time cutting. Been bulking since the end of September, gained about 13 lbs. day 4 of my official cut , feeling super lean already ( or it could be a figure of my imagination). Was bulking at 2300 the last couple weeks and I'm cutting at 1800 currently. Going extremely well ( lets be real it's only been 4 days) but I am excited a) becuse I don't have to worry about constantly eating and stuffing my face all day, which became more of a chore some days.. B) I'm closer to seeing results!
During bulk I gave up all cardio. So i added that back In 20 min 2x a day. Moderate speed.
Obviously my main goal is to keep as much muscle as possible.... ( the little muscle I do have . It would be a shame to have bulked all that time for nothing. That would be a real shot to the foot.
Anyhow I will be checking in here, to see what's going on, and yada yada."you know i went to the gym today and felt like i was the only one even lifting"

Well still trying but aparently not hard enough...I still can`t seem to get my calorie renge down to where I want...damn Christmas suger addiction, at least I haven`t gained any weight...the last 3 days have been better as I have been able to refuse the sugary treats I couldn`t before(I have a friend who once compared suger to crack in level of adictiveness...I think he was right) but I`m still taking in too many calories. I am not giving up though, today is a new day and I am determined to get this under control as I have to lose 10lbs before marathon training begins as this extra weight is slowing me down. So here I go again, today I start over...lol...I hope all of you ladies are having a great Sunday

Hey Everyone. Well, my week off is over and I am back to the gym today to finish the last stage of NROLFW. I was able to keep my calories around 1700 last week so I am slowly lowering them. I am not totally sure of my maintenance but I think it is only around 1700-1800. I definitely want to raise that number, hopefully after the summer when I can bulk a bit. The only problem I am having is I crave nut butters like crazy! Everyday I want to eat half a jar of almond or cashew butter with banana. It is always after dinner that I crave this. I'm wondering if I need more fats in my life?? I am going to try and up the fat with some olive oil and avocado during the day so I don't end up eating an entire jar in a few days! It's just so good. I hoping to average about 1600 per day this week and then lower to 1500 next week. I don't think I want to go any lower that 1500. I have a wedding in July so I want to look good in my dress. I am trying to take this cut/diet nice and slow so that I don't lose much muscle. Have a good Monday.

ms_mac... are you doing cardio now? If so... what and how much? Did you do cardio while bulking? I'm just curious.
pattycake9... hey transformation buddy! Glad things are going well for you! Keep me posted on your progress!
So today was day 7 for me with cutting/IF. It's going well I suppose despite getting used to working out fasted and feeling hungry a lot. I am down a couple of pounds... fluid no doubt. I do not want to lose quickly... I'm aiming for 1/2 lb a week. My lifts haven't been as good this week but I sorta expected that.
How's everyone else doing? This thread needs some life...

I am having a hard time cutting! I am so hungry, especially the day after I lift. I started Stage 7 of NROLW on Monday and my hammies are KILLING me! haha... People at work are wondering why I am walking so funny! I just stretched Tuesday and Wednesday and I am still sore today. I went and just did the elliptical for 30 minutes during my lunch hour today just to stretch my legs out; I am planning on lifting tomorrow and Sunday. I am not sure if I should add any cardio because I just get even hungrier. I have been trying to cut the past few weeks and I seem to always go over. I have a low maintenance, about 1700 because I am sedentary all day at work and I need more muscle, so I think I have to cut on 1500, which isn't even a .5lb a week.
When cutting, do you guys not lift as heavy as you could?
