I found a guy selling a pair of PowerBlock Sport 9.0 Stage I (2.5-50 lbs each) with the matching stand for $250. He says they are brand new, never used as he won them in some kind of drawing. Is this a good deal? I really have no idea how much these are worth. I currently have a set of hex dumbbells, but if this is a great deal I might switch to them to save room.

Most people on here have a preference toward Olympic plates (2" diameter hole in the center of the plate). Those weights are just standard plates (1" diameter). Also, most people will try to target a price of $0.50/lbs or less (I got my Hampton Deep Dish plates for $0.35/lbs). Personally, I would pass on those weights. I have to believe there is better equipment that would be available in the SF Bay area.

Hey guys, I found a guy on CL selling 2)45lb 2)25lb 2)10lb 2)5lb Ivanko Olympic set 170lbs for $130, after doing the math it works out to be about 0.77 cents per lb.
As I'm new to all this and I read so many post about how this name is one of the better plate manufacture or whatever.
Just looking for some guidance from the experience members here whats your opinion on the price and what would be a decent price.
Post count is too low to post link
ThanksMIND

I've been looking on Craigslist for a cheap power rack so I can bench and squat at home safely by myself. I came across this ad:
ttp://ames.craigslist.org/spo/2831401810.html (put the h back in the front of the link)
It looks like a squat rack with some other stuff attached to it and an adjustible bench with a nice quality 300 lb olympic set. He's asking for $300 for the whole set. Would this be a good deal or should I keep looking as it doesn't look like this would have a safety bar for bench/squats?
Thanks!

Not a terrible deal in the big scheme of things. 100lbers don't come up too often and those are nice Hamptons in good shape. I think I got $125 for my last pair of CAPs....but I may have only got $100, I forget. I sold a whole bunch of stuff to another firefighter setting up a gym in another part of the state. Anyway, I wouldn't have come down on my price either...$30 more a pair for the Hampton's isn't a bad deal, imo. Less than .75/lb..... I know you were happy with the deal, like you said....but you did ok.

Thanks, good to hear.. He had 10 so I picked the cleanest ones I could.
It was a good day, got those, diamond plate free, and free 1" tube and pipe to weld a mini DL jack.▪██─────██▪ Ivanko Barbell Crew #3 ▪██─────██▪

Hey guys! I am looking to get a decent power rack on a budget and I saw this on my local CL. The 250$ one. Can anyone help identify what brand or kind of power rack that is this person is selling? I'm guessing the power rack is in one of the pics but i can't tell which pic is for which piece of equipment.
