Controlled Labs Gold Feast Log
http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/clabs/gold-feast.html
This is my official log of Controlled Labs Gold Feast Lemon Drop. Of course, I’d like to thank Powercage for chance to review Gold Feast. Shoutout to Powercage & the whole Controlled Labs team.
A little background about myself.
I’ve been into fitness for over a decade now. Played sports through all my youth years. Became serious about training when I started amateur boxing in high school. Because boxing is an extreme endurance sport & not a bodybuilding contest, I’ve never been one to lift weights, besides squats. My whole workout routine is based on boxing & basketball drills, followed by lots of endurance, core, plyometrics & yoga exercises.
As far as supplements, I try to keep it very simple & focus on health supplements more than performance supplements. I don’t use protein powders as post workout supplements, I just use them to cook or when I’m in a rush & need a MRP shake. The only protein powders I use are Trutein & XF 2.0.
Taste
Water = 7/10
In water, it has a nice lemon taste. There is kind of a sour but sweet aftertaste, but I’ll take a sour, sweet aftertaste over a chemical aftertaste any day. Hard to explain what it tastes like in water, I can’t compare it to anything else, but it is good.
Milk = 9/10
In milk, it’s ever better. Tastes like a lemon cooler cake. I really enjoyed it in milk and from now on I’m going to always use milk. When drinking this with milk, it’s impossible to not think “lemon cooler cake”.
Mixability = 9/10
I mix it with a spoon as directed. I whip it real hard for about 45 seconds. You can see very small clumps still there, but small enough to go unnoticeable while drinking Golden Feast.

Gold Feast has a pretty long shelf life for a protein powder.
Tub is pretty full.
As you can see, the scooper size is very accurate. A lot of protein powders have scooper sizes that don't add up. Check them and you'll see what I mean. Accurate scooper size is definitely a good sign of a product that has accurate label claims.
Using the recommended 20 oz of water.

As I'm mixing the powder, the scent hits me. Amazing! I just keep thinking about a lemon pie while smelling this stuff. I mixed it pretty good for about 45 seconds with a spoon, no blender ball needed. I'm assuming this stuff would foam up a lot if shook up.
All ready to go.
Small amount of powdered settled at the bottom, but for a MRP, this is very very little. A few shakes fixes it. Please don't rip me for the GNSee bottle, it was one of my first purchases ever. Had it for 8 years and it's still standing strong. One of the few GNSee products that actually work.
Not much is left over.

So last night I was so busy watching the Cotton Bowl, I didn't have time to make dinner. I knew I was going out bowling with friends at 9:30pm so I decided to have a serving of Gold Feast & a banana before going out. Prior meal was lunch, at 4:30pm. I was surprised by how much Gold Feast filled me up. I was bowling from 9:30pm til 1am and energy levels were definitely fine. I've never had a MRP really fill me up like Gold Feast did last night. This is definitely gonna help me out during school days when I only have like 10 minute splits in between classes, while at school 9 hours a day.

Alright, I gotta do a better job of keeping this log updated. Yesterday & today I woke up @ 7am, went out on 5 mile run. Came back and had a serving of Gold Feast in 17oz water. Still surprised by how much this stuff fills me up. I can't comment and say I'm feeling better recovery or more replenished by using this stuff, but I'm defintely enjoying it.

Today, I woke up and ran 5 miles this morning. Had some Gold Feast right after. While at the end of my run, out of nowhere I started thinking of the lemon cream pie Sawa3 made. I'm gonna use her recipe one of these days. But that pie really had me craving some Gold Feast during that last mile. I kicked it up a notch during that last mile because I was going crazy for some Gold Feast. Got home, mixed it up, downed Gold Feast in like 20 seconds. This stuff is really growing on me. The sweet sour after taste, I'm actually enjoying it as well. Going to the boxing gym later on, and after that I'm going to a movie, so I'm actually gonna have another serving of Gold Feast later. Will update later.

Today I went to the boxing gym, worked out for about 3 hours. Did some heavy bag, speed bag, mitts, a lot of yoga and worked out my neck. Had some Gold Feast right after. Today I tried 8oz water, 8oz milk. Honestly, I really didn't like it. It changed the texture, just didn't sit right with me. I'm gonna stick to 16oz water.

Went on a 5 mile run this morning and did some sprints after. Came back to the pad and had one of my friends come by to help him with his financial aid. He sees me mixing my Gold Feast and asks if it's a new Golden Gains. I quickly schooled him about Gold Feast, then asked if he wanted to try it. This is my friend that drinks nothing but XF 2.0. I gave him a serving, he loved it, said he likes this Lemon Drop flavor better than Golden Gains. As he looked at some of the reviews on it, he kept saying he's gonna buy a tub. I basically told him put his money where his mouth is and told him to buy one right there on the spot, which he did. So far Gold Feast has been great & surpassed my expectations.

Currently out bowling with some friends from HS for the night. Had Gold Feast in 20 oz water like 45 minutes ago. I prefer 17 oz instead of 20 oz. 17 oz is the sweet spot IMO, 20 ox almost overflowed my shaker bottle. I'm hoping & expecting Gold Feast to keep me full for the rest of the night. I'm gonna be bowling until 1am, hope Gold Feast is enough so I don't have to eat a cheat meal while I'm out. I'll update tomorrow.

Sorry guys, been gone for a while. I had a freak accident where both of my hands got messed up pretty bad. It was to the point where it would hurt to even send a text message. I just had my first workout after a week off. Ran 4 miles and did some sprints. I'm gonna go hit the mitts tonight with 20oz gloves tonight, hope everything goes well. I'll keep you guys updated.

Thanks guys. I'm pretty good to go. I did a lot of vertical exercises last night, and than hit the mitts for only 20 minutes last night. Had 1 serving of Gold Feast after. I'm really liking Gold Feast more in just water instead of milk. That sour lemon taste, I'm becoming addicted to it. I'm pretty sure I'm going out tonight so I'll be having a serving before I roll out to keep me good for the night. But before I go enjoy this weekend I gotta put in some work at the boxing gym. Hoping to go 20 minutes non stop heavy bag, & then tennis for an hour at least. I'll update tonight before I head out. Thanks for following.

Had a real good day at the gym. Hit the heavy bag for 20 minutes non stop with a weighted vest on, walked over to the park and got killed in tennis for like an hour. After that, did some really deep stretching for like 30 minutes. I just had a serving of Gold Feast and like 3 servings of carrots about 10 minutes ago. My friends & I are on our way to a college house party in Hollywood, so I'm sure I'll be up til at least 5am. I'm hoping the carrots and Gold Feast can hold me over most of the night. I gotta run tomorrow morning so I may not sleep. Depending on when I get home I'll probably have another serving of Gold Feast, lol. I'll update this tomorrow. Everyone have a good Friday night!

I got home at like 4:30am this morning, crashed. Woke up at about noon, had a quick breakfast & played basketball at the college gym for about 3 hours. I was thinking about a Gold Feast Lemon Pie recipe today, so I had to open the tub and smell it a few times. I swear this tub does not move. I'm using a full serving every time and it seems like this tub just stays full.
I'm going to a UFC fight party tonight, Evans vs Davis. My GF is supposed to come over between 5-6 to massage my hands. I might go to the boxing gym after to hit the heavy bag for at least 30 minutes, do a lot of hyper-extensions & pull ups. That's if time allows it. Everyone enjoy the fights tonight!
