    Chobani Greek Yogurt Sugar Content

I buy the flavored chobani yogurts since the plain is too digusting to me, but I notice that there is about 20g of sugar per serving. Is this bad? I don't know all the facts about sugar, but this seems quite high.

Would it be okay to spread the yogurt on my cereal in the morning? I switch between two kinds: one with 7g sugar and the other with 10g sugar. I don't want to be taking in too much, but then again I don't know like I said.

Keep in mind that complex carbs breakdown to simple sugars in the body, so you need to avoid them too. And remember, protein is insulinogenic too and can be converted into simple sugars by the body, so you need to cut out all protein as well.

if they don't then they're dumb and need to learn.

while wp is right, personally, i don't like the sugar or make-up of flavored chobani. i go for 2% f*ge. if you don't like it plain (never understand how people don't, but apparently tons of people don't), add your own berries, sliced up bananas, or honey or whatever. but as said, it's fine. eat what you like and what fits w/in your cals and macro's. and a flavored greek yogurt isn't going to make any difference in achieving your goals, whatever they may be. you seriously worry abt going apesh*t crazy on chobani some day?

What's wrong with sugar? Just eat the yogurt.

Thanks, and yes I do worry. Actually, that's kind of a lie since the yogurt isn't even that great tasting to begin with, but I've gone ape**** crazy on sour skittles before... Like 300grams of sugar in one sitting.

so your point of the thread is trying to justify the times you lack self control lol?

it matters more of what you eat throughout the day than a few grams of sugar in yogurt you devour in 2 seconds

blueberries or a banana added to plain yogurt is my fave btw if youre worried about the sugar..

I love plain Greek yogurt, if you havent tried mixing in some fresh fruit try it that way. You can also add in some honey if you want it even sweeter. Right now my favorite is 1/2C GY and 1 scoop chocolate protein powder. About 200 cals 40 grams of protein!
