Does anybody else who's been doing it for awhile that crazy water weight fluctuations are pretty much a thing of the past? Or maybe that it's that I have a fairly steady sodium/carbohydrate intake?
note--I only weigh myself in the morning after emptying, I typically put on 5-8 pounds throughout a day, like anybody else.

Actually I do. I wish I knew the reason for it. It would drive me mad, so I switched to weekly weigh-ins in order to stop focusing on day-to-day peaks/valleys. If you get a sample size of 4-6 weeks you'll see an actual trend.
Fat and weak, but getting better.
1RMs as of 6/06/2012:

although i don't do a strict IF diet, where as i just simply wait til around 6pm to eat and eat one big meal, it's similar enough i feel i can comment. i believe the steady carb intake has a lot to do with it. my weight won't fluctuate much at all anymore, unless i have a day where i eat more carbs than normal. typically when i cut i naturally reduce carb intake so i believe that's the biggest factor.
edit: but then again, ever since i started back on being in a strict cut, i haven't weighed myself more than 3 times...i used to do it every single day to get a feel for how much weight fluctuated.

Like Sharpie, I haven't really been doing a real IF diet (just eating one massive meal a day, in like a 6 hour time period, and then fasting the rest of the day), but I didn't have much of a problem with water retention until I started taking creatine.
Also, you should add Fiber One Brownies to your stack.. they're ****ing amazing, especially the peanut butter/chocolate one (tastes like coffee/chocolate).Start Weight (July 2011) = 261.5
Current Weight (December 2011) = 195.8
Goal Weight (Soon) = ~165

Eh, I still fluctuate a crazy amount, seeing changes close to 10lbs day to day. Right now I'm probably 172ish but after meals and a lot of water I can weigh close to 180. The lowest I've seen the scale is 169 a couple of days ago after being 179 a little before then. For these reasons I don't focus too much on the scale =/
"Everyone thinks they're on their way to single digit body fat as soon as they see a blurry four-pack in the right lighting.Your final body weight at 5-6% will be a lot less than what you think.Talk to me again when you get in contest shape." I'd be willing to say that 95% of people on this forum accomplish nothing in years, don't be one of those people. It's sad, they seem to have the knowledge many don't but can't utilize it.

The fluctuations can be very pronounced when going from a completely glycogen depleted state to a carb up day. I have seen shifts in the order of 5kgs on/after such days. But typically on a low carb day my daily fluctuations are very minimal - maybe a maximum of 1kg difference between weighing 1st thing in the morning and weighing after my last meal at night. I believe that is not typical esp for a person of my size.
