I know that they can be unreliable, but in my first week I was using the strips and watching them turn darker each day, so I thought that they worked for me.
I'm 2 weeks in now, and tried them again yesterday and today, and i'm basically showing as negative (no ketones).
My diet hasn't really changed, except i'm eating more green veggies. Big salad with lunch (only green leaves) and with dinner probably 2 portions of green veg such as brocolli, greens, spinach, etc. maybe some cauliflower.
Reckon the ketostix are bs?

I assume you are in a calorie deficit?
Ketostix measure the excess ketones, over a certain concentration, that are excreted in your urine. If your urine is very dilute, you won't have the concentration. However, what is more likely is that in a calorie deficit, your body stops pissing away the ketones and burns them for fuel, so fewer of them to register in your urine.
Try testing immediately after a workout. But I honestly wouldn't worry about the carbs in salad and broccoli.65% fat, 30% protein, 5% carbs = keto.

Yes I'm about 500-700cal deficit. Thanks for that info, I thought that the ketone detected is acetone because your body can't use it? But I see your reasoning, the concentrations of all the other ketones is probably low from diet etc. so they're not showing either.
I tested after workout today and it showed negative but I drank about 2.5 litres of water when working out lol
