I had to stalk multiple recruiters for a couple of weeks before one would finally give me the time of day. Seriously, I felt like an obsessed ex boyfriend who can't let go of the one who left him and felt the need to blow up the object of his desire's phone/vm multiple times a day because he can't live without her and will die without her affection. That's what getting an AF recruiter's attention is like these days.
They see indoctrination and they call it "morality", "professionalism", or "maturity" depending on the context.

I only drank Miller Lite there, along with Soju. I stayed in a hotel when I left Korea is what I meant, my bad. Roommate? I ate at the Pacific chowhall most of the time. Bought a few things from the commissary to snack on and for exercises mainly. Downtown I like eating at Happy Teriyaki and the Blue Opera. Pizza Place is pretty good too. On base I killed Charley's Grilled Subs. Chili's was being built when I was there, but wasn't open when I left.

Just wear it properly and go with the flow. If honor guard is there then you'll probably salute when they salute. I haven't been to a military funeral before so I'm not exactly sure how it goes. You can probably get some info from the person running the thing. Sorry for your loss.3D072 - Cyber Systems Operations

If you do end up booking a Fire Protection job you can bring your certifications to the school house and test out of those blocks in which your certified and graduate a hell of a lot faster
Certifications you get at the school house:
First Responder
Firefighter I and II
Hazmat Awareness and Operations
Airport Firefighting

Holy F...been 6 months since I ran full throttle since I got ACL surgery. Good God...This guy is going to start running more.
On a lighter note, my shop is weird...the job isnt, just the people. No females to look at and the dudes are all WoW/D&D type exception of one guy who talks about himself every time I've interacted...hopefully we get some cool inbounds before the years up.
Oh and got my re-enlistment bonus today

A bunch of my friends worked with EOD on a JTF weapon intelligence team and to this day talk about the camaraderie amongst those guys. It's a high risk job obviously, but with a high pay off and an awesome mission. I did some exercises with PJ's before and they do some amazing things. Watched as the patched up a pig that was just killed infront of me. Both I'd say are an awesome choices if thats where your mind set is. They're both on opposite ends but in the end they both save multiple lives. read up and see which one is geared towards you

Yep as long as you pass the tests for each certification you'll skip ahead and just have to do ARFF but you wont do it at Lackland, you still have to come to the fire school at Goodfellow after basic. As far as the first responder goes, its REALLY basic things so as long as you have some type of certification similar the test will be a joke.

Hello everyone,
Just been reading a few books recently about the British army in Afghanistan, one about an Apache pilot and another about a JTAC calling in all kinds of air support from US/French/British/Dutch pilots in Helmand. Any book I find I cannot put it down, its slowly steering me into a career in defence, maybe research at a manufacturing company like BAE systems.
Anyway good job dave man for all your hard work, random reps all around in this thread
edit- any good books that I haven't read on Afghanistan? There are a load of UK bestsellers but I'd imagine there must be a load more from other countries. Cheers for any suggestions, wanna learn everything I can about the state of the industry at the moment

Not a good day to die by Sean Naylor...it might be a little advanced if you dont have a military background, but for me it was an awesome read.
An easy read and very good book is lone survivor
when CIA first went into afghanistan a book called JAWBREAKER....ummm, I can't think of anything else

Haha, that's the first thing I thought of...time to go find an Airman in need of a haircut
On another note, I was wondering if they were implementing this AF wide. As of 1 Sep, the meal card holders can now eat at almost anywhere on base (owned by services) for free. So the enlisted club, bowling alley, golf course, etc are all free for cardholders. I wish they did that when I was an Airman. Good for them for doing that though...of course, I see the chow hall getting less and less business after this.
