Most of the people I know that went into the service were complete retards.

Any military brahs with good SAT scores, college degrees,high IQs or a real understanding of how the world works?

Seems like only stupid people would get suckered into the whole "herp derp lets protect the country" when they're actually just pawns in a complicated/corrupt system of big bankers and elites chasing finite resources.

All US military officers have a bachelors at least. Doesn't mean they can't be stupid though. Oh and btw I have two jobs in the military...avionics technician, and soon to be weather forecaster. Come at me.

one of my roommates from college joined the military after he graduated. he was pretty smart. seems to be pretty happy with the decision as well.

my friend who graduated from columbia as a math major applied joined the navy to do Navy Seals.

he understands how the world rlly works all the conspiracies etc, and hates the government, but he wants to be in the army anyway for who knows what reason.

so i know 2 people who have gone into the army so far, both were in my class.

One was American, he could not get into the Australian military because of health issues (lol @ you americans thinking you are all leet). Anyway, he was literally the stupidest person i have ever met. The kind of guy on ******** thats always like "shoulda bought an american..." bla bla, also to give u proof of his stupidness, he studied all day for a maths test once and got 4/64 correct. That was in grade 9.

Then the other kid i knew, who was Australian but originally from Canada, got into a scuffle at school camp where his nose started bleeding. He was 15/16 at the time, and here is this practically grown man (now in my fkin army), crying like a lil bish over a blood nose. He was also t he least athletic guy i have ever met, and IMO is the typical entrant for army recruits. Athletically unremarkable, and desperate to get a gun in their hands.

typical army attitude. It isn't about what you have done for your country, its just about your ego as shown by the post "zomg what have u done with ur life". You make it sound like because you have fought with some bad dudes, you have taken strong steps in making the world a better place. Accept it, you and me, and our nations at large have not done and will not take steps towards making this world a better place, no matter how many times you sugarcoat it. So quit the delusions about fighting for a nation, we are all adults here and we can cut the sh!t. Wars make us money. You fight our wars. You are a money-making bish for your own country.

OP, the sad truth is that they're probably all smarter than you.

If you're talking strictly education, basically all senior officers have masters degree or better, all officers have bachelors as a minimum, probably about half of senior NCOs have bachelors or better and I think pretty much all have an associates degree. Now down to the junior enlisted personnel--they all go to intensive tech schools to learn their jobs. Do you really think the us military, with all the equipment that it employs, could have stupid people running it?

Stereotypes sometimes have a basis in reality, but the level of technical expertise in pretty much every career field available is inconsistent with anything besides above average intelligence. Your inability to realize this without it being explained to you suggests that you are probably not qualified for the military, so I wouldn't worry about it. Instead, you can go back to being the dumbass in your organization.
