    A few questions (Beginner)

So I just started working out im pretty fat atm. I workout almost 7 times a week from 8:30pm to 10-10:30pm. I was wondering which supplement would be best for me if I want to lose weight while gaining muscle. I got the Optimum Gold Standard 100% and ISOPURE zero carbs which one should I use? Plus what base should I use water or skimmed milk? and how many scoops of powder and how much of water or skimmed milk.

    Thank you guys

It's best to consume a diet that isn't deficient, in which case you would not need any supplements. If your diet is deficient and you can't cure it by eating a better combination of foods, then you should supplement to cure the specific deficiencies in your diet.

    Second this!

No needs for sups to help you lose weight at the moment. If you really are very fat, then just by doing the exercise and eating healthy, you will lose steady weight, weekly!
Then when you start getting leaner, you can start thinking about introducing different things like, cutting things out of your diet, switching up your workout routine and eventually, maybe, fat burners.

    Incorrect.

Weight loss is a function of energy balance and not a function of "exercise" or "eating healthy". In order for one to lose weight, energy intake (calories) must be lower than TDEE (total daily energy expenditure).

Let me tell you something about skim milk -- milk at all is NOT healthy and certainly not for weight loss. Unsweetened almond milk is LESS calories than skim milk without the side effects of milk. you can get calcium from so many other various foods which are grown

    Wrong.

Milk is healthy, contains good amounts of protein, saturated fats (if non skim) and carbs. Plus contains essential calcium and Vit D, and can contain healthy probiotics. One item in your diet does not deem the entire diet healthy or unhealthy. I drink milk all the time, even when cutting and have not seen any negative effects, nor have many many other people on this site. The ONLY reason you should avoid milk is if you are lactose intolerant, allergic, or do not like the taste.

If you are cutting out milk, you might as well cut out cheese, cottage cheese, whey, casein, greek yogurt, etc. all out of your diet as well. All of which are normally staples in many many bodybuilder's diets.

First of all, if you just started working out you shouldn't work out 7 days a week for almost 2 hours because there's a good chance you'll burn yourself out. If you've been doing it a while and you like it that's fine, but don't do too much all at once or you'll fall off.

How are you using the shakes? Pre/post workout, meal replacement, meal supplement... ?

Still don't really know enough about you to help too much... you should either post more info (weight/nutrition/workouts) or go read some stickies, especially in the nutrition section. For the time being though, don't go too crazy on those shakes, 1 scoop of either one is fine.

Nah, I'm lactose intolerant and I imbibe dairy all day long. You see they invented this little thing called the "lactase enzyme", in pill form, that you take with dairy. Woohoo no side effects. Oh, and they even sell lactose-free milk/ice cream/cottage cheese. Science is kewl.

It is unlikely everyone will carry around a bottle or box of pills in the case they consume dairy that day. I am glad the pills work for you, but not everyone will want to follow the same protocol. Also your signature is very, very incorrect.

I do neither. Inside the box they come in packs that are thinner than a dollar bill.

And what's stopping me from drinking 12 beers if it fits my macros?
