I don't like this multy ply lifting. I don't get it/see the point. I want to see him raw squat 765 to parallel or below.



Deadlift suits do not help as much as squat and bench suits. you can maybe get 100 lb max out of a DL suit if it is very supportive and respond well to it. Bench and squat suits can add 20-500+ lbs.

Donnie has HUGE legs and by huge I mean the size of an average mans torso which makes his hips look really high but if you ever look at a side view he looks like he's going below parallel. Usually the 350lbs guys look like they squat high when they don't.

To be serious for a minute, yes it is easier to judge depth from the side, so for those arguing that Donnie made parallel if we saw it from the side, i'd love to see it from the side... oh wait, SPF banned filming from the side wonder why

If I look at my own legs...the distance from the top of my thigh to my femur is much smaller than the distance from the bottom of my hamstring to my femur. I would imagine that if my legs grew...this trend would stay consistent. This is why I sometimes look at the bottom of the hamstring (no homo) when watching squat vids. The bottom of the SPF squatters (most) hammies are not even parallel and if you look at the other big-leg squat vids posted here, the hammies are much lower than parallel. Science.

Strong squat but close stance and buried is not the same as wide stance and trying to just barely break parallel. Also, I'm no longer the biggest troll in here.

In all seriousness, Donnie's squat looks high from that angle, but it's not the highest squat ever passed. Actually looks better than most of what has been coming out of the SPF (still not saying much). It's unfortunate that he didn't do it elsewhere, in a more scrutinizing fed.

Ya know Bill, I'm not a big fan of multi-ply, although I have lifted in it. But if more people had your mentality, I would like multi-ply more and powerlifting would be in a much better place.
