If you are really that worried about it then, what would do, and I do, is substitute beer for carbs. Example, if you eat steak, rice and veggies sub beer for rice etc etc.

This is generally what I try to do. On the weekends I try to avoid carbs as much as I can, except for maybe my breakfast, and just forget about it. Hit my proteins and most of my fats and just know that I'm probably bombing my carbs/excess cals to ****. I try to limit my beers during the week, but if I'm planning on having one, I'll try to save a couple hundred calories and restrict carbs toward the end of the day.

9.2% is abv, which means in a 12oz bottle, that's 1.104oz which is 32.65mL EtOH. d = 0.789 g/mL. total pure EtOH consumption = 25.76g. At 7cals per gram, you're getting 180.33 cals in just alcohol alone.

This is what I've always wondered...they say alcohol is an "empty calorie". Does this mean it doesn't actually count toward your calorie total? Just the carb part? Or is alcohol still a calorie, just not helping towards any of your macros?

Are you high? An empty calorie means that it's a high-calorie food or drink with poor nutritional profile.... aka pop, fried shyt, alcohol, candy, butter, etc. It's a calorie and it definitely counts toward total ingested cals.

drinking Homebrew DIPA out of my Duvel art glass. Damn the hops are really leaving this one, dry hopping doesnt last long. Well, it has been like 4 months prolly lol. Its still really drinkable, still on the fruity side with more caramel presence I guess. I need to brew a barleywine or RIS, because that way I can sit on them and not worry about shiit, because it will only improve instead of getting worse.

I have been given 2 free tickets to the New Glarus "hard hat" tour and need someone to go with, it would be next friday @ 1pm. It's a 15 person tour lead by the head brewer where you can get lots of info about the beers and have a great tasting with the guy that makes them all. (Raspberry tart, Beligum red, etc. etc.) This tour is sold out for the next 4 months already also.
