I haven't read a comic in 15 years or so, and even when I did, I exclusively read Marvel comics, but even I think of Hal Jordan as the Green Lantern. I've never even heard of the guy you just posted. So maybe the fictional lantern corps respect him, but nobody knows who the hell he is, and I'd be willing to bet the current Green Lantern is white.
