Blah. It's too hard to choose. Most bands are overrated. Seriously--how many times have you purchased an album by a band you liked and found that you enjoyed maybe two or three songs out of the 10 or so on the album? Bands often release new albums out of contractual obligation. Some songs have heart, mass-appeal, or whatever makes it a hit, but usually most don't.

Nirvana ended a whole era of music and I'm not sure they are on the same legendary status some of the other bands are on.

I'm actually a little mad right now after reading this, but I'm going to remain calm. What other awesome rock bands of the 60's and 70's are you talking about? Very few can hold a candle to Led Zeppelin. I'm gonna have to assume that you just don't listen to much music, so you don't know.

and WTF at people saying The Beatles are overrated? They are so fuking good. They have maybe 4 songs that aren't good. I know people have different tastes, but I can't understand anybody disliking The Beatles. It is seriously mind blowing how many 10/10 songs The Beatles have.

My vote for most overrated band goes to AC/DC. Everybody seems to like them, but I don't like them much.
