    More or Less calories??

Searched the site for my answer but no luck. I've always read and believed that in order to lose weight you must lower you calorie intake. I see on the forums here (from what i understand, unless im reading something wrong) you must up your calorie intake. So which is it, More or Less? May be a begginer question i'm sure but i need the info.

I'm currently at 238lbs (was 243, 4 days ago) Cycle to work and back M-F (30min ride each way). Looking to go down to anywhere between 195-200lbs within the next two months.

    Thanks in advance

    Is this question serious?

If you want to lose weight, you eat less.

I'm not starving for weight loss but am at a comfortable 1200 cal daily intake.

90% of the time you need to eat less to lose weight. Some people who have been eating too little for too long can increase weight loss by eating a little more. However, if you have gained weight you most certainly not eating too few calories.
