Obviously I know that beer and wine are more than 7cal/g, but as far as hard liquor goes is it 7cal/g for all of them (tequila, vodka, whisky, etc). Also how many grams are in the standard 1.5oz shot?

It varies. Just google it, should be very easy to find a list by type of liquor.

Beer and wine are still 7cals per gram. Alcohol is alcohol, the difference is the ABV.

The higher the ABV, the higher the calories. Not to mention the carbs in beer and wine.

Okay so I read the article. Basically the calorie amount is 5.6 per gram making a shot go from around 98 to around 77 due to the thermic effect.

I was asking about it not because I was worried about losing muscle or decreasing protein synthesis, but I'm cutting and didn't wanna drink a ****load and put on weight. After all at 6'4 215 I can drink a retarded amount. I should eat lots of veggies and lean meat prior to a night of drinking...not a problem. Let's see how his theory prevails I suppose.
