So I'm on vacation, eating like complete ****. Question...

I'm 6'0 and cut down to 175. Still had a little fat around the stomach area, but put on quite a bit of muscle during my cut in all other areas. Probably all noob gains and I'm betting I reached the point where I'm not going to put on any more muscle if I keep cutting. So the plan was to do a clean bulk soon anyways...but right now I am on vacation and am going to enjoy myself and eat pretty much everything I want. My question is...while I'm doing this, is it worth it to still hit the gym and lift as much as possible while I'm here? Is there a chance I could turn this massive calorie surplus into some muscle (like I said was going to do a slight bulk anyways)...or should I just enjoy my vacay, not lift and eat what I want, and get right back to it when I get home in a week? I mean a week of eating like **** couldn't do that much damage could it?

Lift if you want to lift, if not doesn't matter, 1 week isn't going to effect your long term goals. Enjoy your holiday.

A week of eating horribly can definitely destroy all your work and then set you back even further. If you're going to pack on a good deal of mass from eating too much some of it may as well be a tiny bit of muscle. So I suggest lifting heavy and training all muscle groups.
"Everyone thinks they're on their way to single digit body fat as soon as they see a blurry four-pack in the right lighting.Your final body weight at 5-6% will be a lot less than what you think.Talk to me again when you get in contest shape." I'd be willing to say that 95% of people on this forum accomplish nothing in years, don't be one of those people. It's sad, they seem to have the knowledge many don't but can't utilize it.

A week won't do much damage. You'll likely feel bloated and gross if you go overboard, but other than that you'll be okay. My advice: enjoy yourself and get back on track when your vacation is over.
If your parents didn't have children, chances are you won't either.

LOL yeah, been only 2 days into the vacation and I already feel exactly what you said gross and bloated. Did do chest Sunday and just got back from doing shoulders, arms this morning...so atleast I'm getting a little lifting in but am definitely going to eat what I want.

The feeling sucks though...been working my ass off for months and feels like I'm destroying all my progress, but I'm glad a week won't do all that much damage.

I will definitely post some vacay food pics later...got some nice ones.

Enjoy your vacation, taking a week off of lifting can help you both physiologically and mentally.
