    what's this exercise called?

    ok it's an isolation cable exercise for biceps. u're standing at a high pulley with arms streched on each side (like when you're walking on a suspended wire) and a handler in each hand. to flex, you bring the wrist to your ears, making sure the upper arms (bi & tri) don't move and that they stay parallel to the floor.
    does any1 know what it's called and if it's efficient?

    Coleman advocates them. I rarely use them but they will put the hurt on the biceps if you're super setting.

    I have heard the referred as High pulley double bicep cable curls (mouthful) or High Cable Pulley Curls.
    ABCbodybuilding calls them High Cable Pulley Curls.

    Ive tried these a few times in the past, and I actually thought they were not THAT bad. I did a massive dropset on them because I felt like it, and it keeps a great deal of tension on the bi's. Best exercise for mass? Lol nope

    ...after I was done, I went home and shot up a ****load of Test-E and then advertised for BSN. These things really do bring out the Ronnie side of people

    Well you say there worthless. Ronnie must be wrong!! I have seen many guys do them. I'm sure they are not worthless.. One big plus with the lift is the tension on the contraction.

    Personally, I like the same movement on a single cable and bar. But...

    This exercise is a high quality exercise. At the peak, your biceps are pulling against a maximal leverage disadvantage. What about this execise makes it worthless or even less desirable compared to any other curl, I ask?

    I realize that, but that does not make them worthless. The author of the thread wanted data to tailor his routine. They very well could be beneficial. Especially coming of a heavy macrocycle to promote hytrophy.

    If he doesn't even know the name of the exercise, or how good it works, I seriously doubt he's that advanced. I'm saying it's worthless to him compared to other mass-building exercises. If I was new and wanted to build my legs, you'd tell me to squat right, not use the thigh abducter machine.

    I do these every other week to sub in for concentration curls. They both hit the peak of the bicep. Like someone else said a lot of people do them.

    What that means is that you could bust your ass day in and day out naturally and not have **** to show for it, but some jack-ass takes one cycle, does a few beches and curls and slaps on 25 lbs of muscle. It's not right to compare anything about the pros with the rest of us.

    One cycle is better than one year of training for most people. Therefore steroids>exercise

    Its called the double biceps cable curl and its pretty efficient. You also sound like you know how to do it correctly. Also don't use too much weight that your upper arms become non-parallel from pulling in. If that happens, you are using too much weight and recruiting your pecs to pull the weight in.

    no i'm not advanced but it was the first time i ever saw any1 at my gym do them. as far as effectiveness goes there's a whole debate here, just like in the case of concentration curls; some ppl think these isolation exercises work the peak of the biceps but if you go to one of the max-ot guys and tell them it's a good exercise he's goona laugh his a** off. i'm not expecting to actually find out if it's really effective(imo we might never will - maybe it depends on the individual), it's just that i was surprised of the way my biceps felt during the top of the contraction (alot better that CCs)
