OP, the new Nike Romaleo shoes are out right now I think. They're not easy to find, so if you like them, now is the time if they're available, but I think the heels are on the taller side and they're expensive.
Measured the heel on my Ristos since I believe they're proportional to size and for a 12-13 (cant remember) they're a little over 1.25" total, so marginal heel is probably 1.15"ish or something.
I'm tall so of course my femurs are probably on the longer side, and I like them, and I know they'll last.

the 3/4in heel height is the difference from the height under the ball of the foot and the height under the heel of the foot.
so most .75in heel heights are 1.25in at the back (ish).
all new model do-wins; 2009,2010 or 2011 model (vs athletics, rogue, pendlay) have a .75in heel. The iron is the enemy; it's constantly fighting you in the gym. You need to attack the enemy without fear.

Yep.
I have Adidas PPII's, squat low bar, kind of wide, and love them.
I have fat feet and I like the Adidas, gives me a snug fit.
I'm really not sure on this...seems like people are giving conflicting answers, but I do know that the total heel high provided in the PPII's is .75".
You got the Nike's then?...I thought they quit making them or something, anxious to hear how they are.Best Meet Lifts:

Just a thought, but if you buy a more basic shoe with a sole like this, it will be easier and cheaper to get it resoled when it wears down a couple years later.
my ironworks are holding up pretty good, some lining inside is getting some holes worn into it, and the leather on the inside heel is cracking, but other than that its pretty much fine, and I think they are about 5 years old now

good choice. i have been using the romaleos for a while now and they are very sturdy, durable, and a bit heavy(each shoe weighs 1 1/2lbs with the competition soles). my only problem is the "training" soles. the training soles seem to be very uncomfortable (a few of the people i speak to say similar things) compared to the "competition" soles (they give u 2 soles), so i just wear the comp soles. other than that they r a great pair of shoes.
