Im using chunk light tuna in water......should I be worried about Mercury poisoning?

I've been eating a can of tuna a day for lunch as my protein for like 5 months and no mercury poisoning yet..... maybe someday who knows...lots of dif options with canned tuna and its so low in calories it allows my dinners to be larger
but ya every meal of the day would start to suck rather quickly
i usually mix it up between tuna and rice stir fry...tuna sandwich's...tuna salad...tuna melts...plain from the can

Ive been eating 2-3 cans a day for over a few months now, no problems.
But from what I read in that article as long as you allow you kidneys to adjust it's fine. Plus I eat canned chunk light which has the lowest mercury
EDIT: Your smaller than me so according to that article I can consume more tuna than you and be safer.
But really, that "diet" would suck, your not even gonna get all the nutrients from it...and it would get old fast.Last edited by Archaic2021; 03-23-2011 at 01:55 PM.

1 can of tuna is 194 calories. 1 slice of bread is roughly 100. each sandwich would be about 400 calories.
So you are just doing a diet that is 1200(3 sandwiches)-2000(5 sandwiches) calories.
Do you realize how many more tasty foods you can eat with those calories? Go to the nutrition thread and read up on calorie counting.
