Exactly. Their rate of protein synthesis is SIGNIFICANTLY higher, and they can use all the protein.
Let's not forget people like Jay Cutler probably have around 260lbs of MUSCLE on their frame, if not more. What is his contest weight like 275 or something? Muscle burns more calories at rest than fat, so it only makes sense for people like him to have to eat so much.
The anabolics increase the metabolism because of the increased rate of protein synthesis, which will lead to a great increase in lean tissue (muscle). The muscle is basically a by-product of the increased rate of protein synthesis (not to mention a great diet that only builds that much more lean tissue) and the metabolism is forced to go up because of this. There's direct relationships between all of these things.Team Manlet

Well in most BBing magazines you see articles on diets and such and they all look the same, high protein, some carbs, little fat. To cut, high protein, high fat, little to no carbs. You don't need to cut carbs to cut fat, just up the cardio length wise or intensity wise and it evens out without cutting out the carbs. A lot of people believe every words that comes out of pros mouths and take it as fact when in reality they have a squad of trainers, nutritionist telling them what, when, and how to eat their food, it's easy to get confused.

Yeah, but he is on a massive amount of gear. I highly doubt its from too much protein. My money is on aas abuse, orals can be VERY toxic as I'm sure you know. Andreas Munzer for example stacked a huge amount of orals together including 60mg + of halo which is arguably one of the most toxic orals out there. Supposedly the autopsy showed his liver was completely black.

Is it Necessary to Cycle Creatine?
Once again it is not necessary to do so but it can help. Your body has an internal equilibrium which you can swing in your favor for a duration of time, but over time that equilibrium will eventually swing back.
Meaning taking excess creatine for a short period of time (4-8 weeks) may temporarily increase your creatine phosphate stores but after awhile your body's feedback mechanisms will likely place some time of control on creatine phosphate storage to bring the levels back down to normal.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gluconeogenesis
"Gluconeogenesis (abbreviated GNG) is a metabolic pathway that results in the generation of glucose from non-carbohydrate carbon substrates such as lactate, glycerol, and glucogenic amino acids."
In a sense... you're actually right. Aminos can't be converted to fat, but they can be converted to glucose. And glucose can be converted to fat.

The problem here is people are over exaggerating the danger of a long term high protein diet. I highly doubt anyone is going to consume enough protein for a long enough time to do any sever damage, really someone start posting some links of this theory.
The damage that a high protein diet can do, if any, cannot be compared to the damage aas can do. If a Pro BBer/PLer is having liver problems, its the roids people, not the protein.Journal: https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=139898123&page=240

Agreed that anabolics will cause more harm than a high protein diet. It is a fact that the liver has to process protein, if you eat more protein, it has to work harder. The harder it works, the shorter the life span. Now, will most of us eat THAT much protein that we will need to do on dialysis ? I highly doubt it, but add alcohol, Rx meds, aspirin and our livers are taking a beating. I always try to drink at least a gallon of water a day to somewhat alleviate the stress on my liver from all the food, not only protein, that I eat.

Yeah I just edited it, all that was ED(every day), looool, just insane. And I was way off on the halo, I said 60mg ED and it was really 200
Yeah, I just don't think a high protein diet along will do anything bad down the line. And if it is combined with the other things you mentioned, I would venture to say the high protein diet was 0.1% of the problem.Journal: https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=139898123&page=240

You can have results or you can have your excuses. But you cant have both.
