Yeah, the guy is in great shape, but he didn't look capable of repping 6 reps ATG. I've seen him with his top off in the sauna ( NO HOMO) and taking his physique into account as well made it even more impressive.
I had to neg him though for wrapping his knees and having a pad under the bar. I told him to shut the f*ck up when he said he'd had a knee operation and that he was a pu$$y for wrapping his legs.

LMAO LMAO!!!!!!!!! NIIIICE! I would of done the same .
Yeah it reminds me of 2 of my buddies, last year they both repped 250ish pure ATG style for 10 reps or so at a bodyweight of like 150 for one of them and 160 for the other. The 150 guy was about 5'8 and the other is 5'10. Not bad if you ask me. If you saw them you'd thik NO WAY! Both ripped to shreds of course, pure ectomorph and both have done martial arts. The 150 guy is more bb style, the other 160lbs guy was pure martial arts only for like 8 years or so.Last edited by KopyKat; 06-30-2007 at 07:06 PM.

I'm always impressed when i see somebody squatting with good form, whether it's only a 100lbs, as long as they're performing with correct technique and putting effort into the exercise, they have earnt my respct and have credibility IMO.
Today i seen a guy load up the bar with 170kg. Came down to a 1/4 squat, and then got his friend to pull him all the way back up. It was obviously an ego trip. His friend then later repped 110kg for 3 reps 1/4 squat style, his back coming over so far I thought he was going to fall flat on his face. Some people just never learn.Founder of DPA Fitness & Author of The Weight Training Antidote.

Yeah, I know it. That's why I started using ON [well, that plus price], because their stuff is lactose-intolerant friendly. I still mix it w/water just to be safe, lol.
Some brands mess me up worse than others. Beverly, I have no problems with at all. Same with Muscle Milk, though I do tend to feel a bit bloated after drinking that stuff...
Others, like Muscle-Link's Muscle Meals [which I absolutely LOVE], I need to take a Lactaid pill with. No biggie, really, but I tend to stay away from brands I don't know.Last edited by mightymouse37; 06-30-2007 at 07:32 PM.

ok guys [and gals], I got a question.
For those of you w/an iPod or other mp3 player...
What'd you do with all your cd's once you converted your music library over to mp3's? I have 400+ cd's just sitting here taking up space. I'm tempted to try selling them at a garage sale or something for a dollar or two each, but I'm terrified that I'll get rid of them, and then the next day my computer will crash and I'll lose my entire music collectionYou're = you are.

The Germans have always had a diabolical streak in them when it comes to their machine's repairability. Krautcars should have a sticker under the hood that says: "Abandon hope, all ye who enter here with tools, and a schedule to keep."

I hadn't thought of that - I tried backing up my iTunes library onto regular cd once but it would've taken like 17 cd's and 3 days.
I just hate the idea of simply sitting on these cd's when I could potentially be making some sort of money off of them.
Maybe I'll try the mp3 cd route - I'm assuming I can burn straight from iTunes onto those bad boys? You're = you are.

totally random post time
I just finished a GREAT book this week by Josh Wolk, called Cabin Pressure. Basically, it's about his experience in returning to his old summer camp at 34 to work as a counselor one more summer, before getting married and becoming a full-fledged adult. As a former camper and hopeful future outdoor educator, I loved every page. I highly recommend it, it's a great nostalgic trip and the guy is funny as hell [he writes for Entertainment Weekly now, I believe]. Reading each chapter was literally like going back in time and being at camp again.

Let's see. An average MP3 is around 3MB, a CD is either 650MB or 700MB. So, it can hold approximately 216 or 233 songs respectively.
If you went the DVD route, a single-layer disc is 4.9GB (or 5017.6MB). A dual layer is 8.5 GB (or 8704MB). So, that would be approximately 1,672 or 2,901 songs respectively. But only the latest models of dvd burners support dual layer.
Just rough figures of course.
