I read somewhere that your body only absorbs about 30% of the ammount you intake. Is that true with all zinc supplements? If that is true, If i take 100mg of zinc i only absorb 30mg. LMK

It could have been referencing a multi with zinc and calcium, since calcium can inhibit zinc uptake. Maybe that's what they meant? I also know in other minerals and vitamins there are sources which are synthetic and not very bio-available. Maybe there is a form of zinc that falls under that category but I'm not sure.
