What are fraternities and sororoties? I've heard about them from American movies, but have never been sure what they are.

Pretty much every fraternity has a gay chapter at one school or another. From what I've seen, most frats don't have much to do with each other at different schools. It's like paying for friends. Also, usually people in frats and sororities are the ones that were "popular" in high school and feel the need for attention after they get to college. The dudes are usually dicks and the girls sluts. I'm giving a general description. There could always be good people in these organizations. I can't give you a better description.
