On a cut, does it matter if you lift 2 days vs. 3 days per week if you're only trying to prevent muscle loss? Thoughts?

For me it would be hard to keep up intensity for all bodyparts needed to be worked in a 2 day split. It'd be at least 3 days for me but it would probably depend on your progress to this point (if any) and your overall goals.
Transforming my body and health one bite and one lift at a time.

Apply this saying 'Use it or lose it'.
Personally for me, 2 days a week is just not frequent enough to 'prevent' muscle loss. Whereas 3 days a week, your training basicly every second day.
You may be able to get away with it if you were eating at maintenance and doing 2 days a week. That's what I would think anyway.

You should be able to maintain muscle with a two day split if you bust your ass. I would do a total body circuit training. One day heavy weights so you dont lose strength. And one day lighter weight. But three days would be better. If your going for fat loss lifting weights is better for fat burning than cardio. If you have the time I would lift weights atleast 3-6 days a week for fat loss. You will have quicker results.

How much are you trying cut? The title of the thread and the question don't really match, but here's my 2 cents.
I've been doing All Pro's Beginner Routine and have been eating under maintenance, ensuring that I get all the macro's right. I've lost 13 pounds in a little over 5 weeks and am getting stronger. I'm a noob, so take it for what it's worth.I just like pickin up heavy stuff. It's neat.

Lift as much as you can, and as hard as you can while you're there. It's only a small portion of the day in the gym, but so worth it outside of it. Just keep increasing the weights (or stay the same if you can't increase), but just don't decrease.
This is to my "ten-year story." In another decade you better be prepared for me.

3 days a week wouldn't probably be good enough especially since you are on a cut and you risk losing muscle. Personally, after going through my cut and noticing how much muscle I lost, you should lift as much as possible and as hard as possible. Eat the right amount of protein, carbs and fat.
