I soon plan on cutting from 200lbs to 185lbs I am 185lbs now around 15 16%. What was the biggest factors in saving muscle mass. How where your lifts and strength? What supps did you use, exculding the obivous high protein.
Some questions if you could answer
Caffine for cutting?
Epistane(has cross my mind)
Fat burners?
Keto(?)
Low Carbs(50-70)
All Protein & peanutbutter diet

well I'm not super low body fat right now Im like 20% but i was way higher. I've cut 52-54lbs since february so far at a pretty steady pace. Mostly carbs, But complex ones, all whole grain breads, oatmeal, etc. And most of them early on in the day. I'd say 35-50% carbs, 35-50% protein, and 20% or so fats, its never an exact balance each day. A little cardio helps, and Amino acids and glutamine can help prevent losing any. I've gained a lot of muscle mass and lost a alot of fat so far. So idk maybe its my genetics. All of my lifts have gone up, almost doubled too, well some did. I started off with just whey protein, fish oil and a multi, then i threw in creatine, and now superpump250(4th day today). but my whey protein and All of the essential and nonessential amino acids in it so idk. I also have tried diet pills or fat burners. Green tea i do drink at times though, it increases fat burning chemicals naturally in the body. sometimes il ldrink a little coffe before a workout(now superpump 250 instead though)
but also lift as if you were bulking, as heavy as u can go for like 8-12 reps, and i am always supersetting. For example, say on back day, I'll do a set of deadlifts, then some rows or pulldowns right after, then i'll proceed to do a set of forearms or traps(depends which one i train that day) and then biceps. I guess a giant superset. Then rest for a bit. then do another giant set for those muscle groups except diff exercises. I foudn that helps me gain while cutting.

I'm doing a cut. Not sure how big it will be.
I'm down over 10lbs , squat has gone down, bench is near same. Deadlift is up.
Will keep updted if its turning out good.I used to have an AVI of my traps and neck. I changed it a while back and tried editing my user title but this website is glitched and it will not let me change it anymore.

Keep eating the same amount of cals and food for another 3 months+ months and keep liftin like a beast. You will build more lean tissue overtime creating a defisis in calories and you will have a new muscle/fat ratio. hence bf% is lowered and your lifts will still be going up. If not stay about the same at 15%bf that means you have more then enough nutrition.

i'm currently cutting on a low carb diet. it's tough but results are surprisingly good. will post a thread about it in the next couple weeks with pics, but i recommend doing the low carb/high protein for saving muscle. it's been 3 weeks, i've dropped about 9 lbs and strength has stayed about the same.

on off days, i do single digit carbs. on low carb days (which is most days) i do about 30 g pre workout and 30 post and that's basically it for the day. and every 7-10 days i do a high carb day based on how i feel. was doing fasted cardio on off days, but i'm scratching that because i feel like i'm losing the weight too fast.

I dont lose muscle when i cut, but thats only probally because i only cut for a short period of time as even in my off season i keep in single digit bodyfat, i stay in good condition year around always with ripped abs, but when i try and get into top condition i just lower my calories under maitenance mostly from carbs keep my carbs for when they are most needed breakfast, pre/post-workout. At this time when cuttign i will do LISS cardio 3x per week post-weights, this usually gets me ripped up pretty quick.
Lifts diddnt really change except when i was at the end of my cut i felt i had no drive and always needed a spot to complete the rep, for example on bench or whatever when bulking and you get to that sticking point you can slowely push through it to finish the last rep. But when cutting i found i had no drive when i got to that sticking point it just stuck and needed a spot to finish the rep.
Caffeine - I have used it before, weather it helped or not i dont know, however i plan to use this each time i cut.
Epistane - No.
Fat burners - No.
Keto - Rubbish, expect some muscle loss.
Low carbs - Best way to diet IMO, although more than 50-70ish..
Protein + PB - No.
You could maby supplement with some BCAA's if you are afraid of losing muscle mass, but dont consume too much otherwise its defeating the purpose or "cutting" as yes BCAA's do have a calorie value.
