Hey all, this thing is at a yard sale just a few blocks from my house. What is it & what do you do with it?
Second question: This cheapo Rower is at the same yard sale for $25.00. Is their any value to working out with it?
Thanks

Looks like a crunch or sit-up bench in the first picture. If it was sturdy I'd get it...but then I've already been through five different sit-up benches including the one I have now. I've never really had a problem re-selling them for a little profit each time.
I'd skip the rower-personally-but I'd guess if depends on how it feels when you're on it. Good Luck.

The first is a situp bench. I am looking for something like that right now, actually.
I had a rower like that in high school. I enjoyed it at the time, but its vastly inferior to the concept 2 rowers (and other things like schwinn airdyne, etc). I would pass unless you just want something different to do to burn calories.[]---[] Equipment Crew Member #14

I see, it's just configured wrong in the pic & should be configured like this one. I think I'll go back and reconfigure it and try it out. Looks like it would be pretty effective, especially if holding a weight plate to your chest. WTF, it's only $5.00.
Many thanks guys!

If the Ab Board Bench is stable enough, buy it, because $5 is obviously one hellavu deal. In my eyes it doesn't look like it can capacitate much weight but that I can not definately determine without trying it.
The rower looks fine, but I personally have issues with pneumatic-resistance training equipment...they're, for a lack of words, inferior, in my opinion.Last edited by AFXC1; 08-01-2010 at 09:00 AM.

I have a really cheap and nasty sit up board I've had for 10 years now, and has been used 1-3 times a week every week. There's nothing that can go wrong with them, and chances are it'll fold up or collapse easily so they don't take up much space. One of the better purchases I've ever made. If you don't have one, for $5 why not!
Can't say I'm too keen on pneumatic rowers, they break pretty easily in my experience. Better than nothing for cardio though.[]---[] Equipment Crew Member No. 22
