taco salad
yay, I can't wait to try these, especially the sweet things! Yum, I love dessert.
I had taco salad for lunch today....I would use ground turkey but I can't find any here, so I just saute chicken breast with garlic, onions/shallots, cumin, and chili powder. Tastes just like taco seasoning but without the sodium! Then I put it on some lettuce, usually do a chopped tomato as well but not today, and half a toasted whole wheat pita. Cover with greek yogurt. So yummy!
I can't post pictures yet, 20 posts to go.
I'm making sesame salmon tonight and salad.
Something weird/annoying about living in Europe that I've noticed is that things don't really come in fat/sugar free or low sodium options. Totally sucks.

not really bread more like a wrap -
15g of powdered egg whites, 10g psyllium, spice as required (I like cumin powder or cajun spice)
get a skillet super hot
slowly add cold water, just enough to moisten the mixture enough so you can spread it in the pan. give the skillet a quick spray of oil. quickly and carefully spread the mixture into pan, it will be cooked in a few seconds - turn over and cook a few more seconds.
I also sometimes then cut it in half and toast it. otherwise, I use it almost like a soft taco shell and fill it with tuna, avocado, hummus, cheese, whatever! I also use it as a pizza base.
and virtually no carbs.when ego is lost, limit is lost
LOOK WHERE YOU WANT TO GO

I did this today: http://www.oxygenmag.com/main.php?page=7&id=513
It tastes great, although I left out the olive oil, tomatoes ( I forgot to buy some :P) and the Zest of 1 lime as I don't have a tool to zest it with . Anyhow I can't wait to eat some, now is in the fridge waiting for it to chill....
I ended up with 1350 grams of salad and 1500 cals. From what I calculated 100grams of salad have 110 cals, 9 grams of protein, 16grams of carbs, 5.7 grams of fiber and less than one gram of fat.

The mint is taking over my garden. I fear it will come strangle us all in our sleep. So I made lots of tebouli (sp?) but this is my fave so far to get rid of some of this mint:
Brew any flavor of sun-tea. (just how it sounds. Put a pitcher of water outside in the sun.)
Then fill ice-cube trays with lemon juice. Put a fresh mint leave in each cube-box. Freeze. When frozen, put lemon-mint cubes in the sun-tea. Sweeten however you like.

Banana Berry Cake Protein Shake
I'm not sure how to post pictures so here are some good ones and the recipe. I'm addicted these are so good. The blueberries are key to the taste, but you can just use banana if that is all you have on hand.
