Yeah. It was difficult to watch. I don't know how often you see the US play, but we played the same way in the first half in a warmup against Turkey. Then, Torres came on for Clark and we controlled the rest of the game. It was like night and day. However, Bradley is way too loyal to lousy players (Bornstein, Clark, Klijestan..).

Michael Bradley is already an average passer at best, but to have Clark who loses the ball every time it is passed to him (AND has terrible positioning) playing alongside him in the MIDDLE OF THE PARK WHERE WE NEED POSSESSION is just ludicrous.

Our best players playing out on the wings (Donovan and Dempsey) have to play extremely narrow to get the ball because the central distribution is sh!t. Altidore is fed scraps and spends most of his time running after through balls that are too heavy. He gets a couple of good passes and only needs one time to muscle off Carragher and create a good chance. If he wouldn't have chopped his shot, he would have sent it into the roof of the net.

As far as Buddle starting.. I think he should have started the second half for sure, but it's a toss up to me between Findley, Buddle, and Gomez. None of them have proven much yet. It's clear Findley should not start the next game though because his first touch is awful. Give Buddle or Gomez the chance and see how they do.

Yeah Torres is quality, the dude simply has to play. I still wonder what happened to the US that played counter attacking football, instead of the one today that played like they met each other 2hrs before the game. In the midfield you need 2 kind of players; an enforcer and a distributor. Torres can be that distributor, but I don't know who the enforcer would be. Maybe Bradley if they actually just limited his role to winning the ball?

That's the problem, then. Clearly his dad thinks too much of him. 2 ballwinners who can't distribute = automatic failure.

Games pretty much went how I thought.

Now Mexico will beat France in an open game and France will be dumped out.

Uruguay beats South Africa and then Mexico to finish first.

South Africa beats a distraught France team to finish second.

my only concern now is Uruguay and Mexico just playing a boring 0-0 draw although the first seed gets a better draw
