Ladies, once in a while I like to throw up some fitness modeling related info that may be of use/interest for any of you gals that have considered fitness modeling. Bill Dobbins is one of the best known photographers in the business. He shoots a lot of female bodybuilders, but he also works with quite a few fitness model types.
He has a page called "how to become a fitness model" which has several free articles. One article is from Brenda Kelly, a well known model (who is in her 40s BTW and looking amazing!) and another is written by yours truly. Brenda has many other articles on her site directed at women interested in fitness model work, so that?s a great place to start. Here?s Bill?s page on how to get started:

If you have any questions I can answer, I will do my best to answer them, though between my and Brenda?s articles, 99% of what you need to know is covered.

Thank you for this post -- I must say that I have already read it and the advice was so useful in getting promotional items together, choosing to compete and so much more!

I dont see any reason most of the advice in the articles cant be followed by guys, unless it's particular advice guys can't follow, such as there is no mens figure/fitness to compete in, etc. The rest of it does not have sex specific advice, but being 95-99% of the people reading articles on being fitness models are female, they tend to have a female slanted lingo to them. Follow up, thank God I don't have to judge mens figure shows...
