Lose the weight with diet and cardio. BCAAs will help prevent catabolism. Nutrabolics has an awesome intra-workout product called Aminocell that has BCAAs, creatine, cordyceps, and some great nootropics.
Low carb diet + low intensity cardio as often as you can (~60%MHR) = leaner w/no muscle loss, but you diet has to be seriously on point.
Otherwise I also like the high expenditure+ high intake approach: eat a pro/carb meal in the AM, go do some intervals, then do your weights in the evening. No need to cut carbs because your metabolism will be fired up all day.

Check out Slin-Sane. If your looking to keep your diet around the same and lose some bf but still have energy from a good source of carbs so your strength will remain the same if not increase than this product is for you.

For how long are you looking to cut? For short term, a keto diet works great but it's not really something most people can (or would want to) sustain. For keto, you're gonna want to keep carbohydrate intake around 20g for at least the first week or two, then slowly go up and keep testing yourself with KetoStix to make sure you stay in ketosis. Otherwise, the most common macros are 40/40/20, with 20% being dietary fat and the 40/40 being carbs/protein. 1g per pound of body weight is a good amount of protein, so figure it out from there if you want to follow that plan.
So you could figure that roughly 180g of protein per day would be good for maintenance or maybe even slight bulking. Since you want an equal amount of carbs, that would be 180g of carbs. And since you want half as much dietary fat (20% fat, as opposed to 40% protein/40% carb), that would be 90g fat. Now, 1g carbs = 4 calories. 1g protein = 4 calories. And 1g fat = 9 calories. So your formula would be (180 * 4) + (180 * 4) + (90 * 9) = 2250 calories needed to maintain current weight or put on slight muscle. 500 below that would 1750 calories. Try that, and if that doesn't work, drop to either 1500 or 1250, depending on how you feel and what you feel your body is capable of. If you drop down to 1250, it is virtually impossible to not lose weight, from my experience.
