Arrow Which sport will you give you the best body in your opinion?

I'm currently in a dilemma and don't know what sport I should focus on for my fitness goals. I'm no elite or Olympic athlete, I never earned any scholarships for university, since I wasn't national material. I'm not going to play in college since I'm attending a division I school. I guess I just want to be healthy, not gain fat/weight, develop ultimate athleticism skills, and get ripped/jacked.

Which sport will you give you the best body in your opinion?

Every one has different opinions for their ideal body. But because I'm female, I want a ripped/jacked body (not big steroid bodybuilders), but something like swimmer Dara Torres or marathon runner Kara Goucher. That kind of ripped both like a rowers and triathlete.

I'm thinking wrestling or soccer would give you best body?

Also can someone help me answer which body will give me a better body: Tennis, Triathlon, or Middle Distance Running (Half-Marathon). Out of the three which sport will give me the best body?

    Sprinting basically

Everything else you mentioned will have you lose fat AND muscle. You'd look like a "myspace ripped kid" basically haha.

I'd continue lifting and doing HIIT or sprints if you want to be more defined with muscle. But tennis would be the best out of what you mentioned.

    Do whatever you like best.

You're not going get "steroid bodybuilder" jacked, unless you start eating upwards of 3500 cals a day, paired with a hypertrophy intensive routine, while simultaneously cycling testosterone, for an extended period of time. That's not something that happens in the matter of weeks, or even months.

Or you could try wrestling. But, if your school is even halfway decent, you'll regret trying out, unless you actually enjoy it.

Try Rowing. I think it's one of the only sports where you can go from not even knowing about the sport to being competitive at a collegiate level in a short while. It's a lot of work though and before long you'll find yourself a part of a crew which depends on everyone of its members to be at every practice giving their all. If you don't mind waking up in the mornings and working hard every day of the week for the rest of your college career then give rowing a shot.

EVERYONE on here is going to say thier sport.

for example Im a die hard wrestler. Im not going to say wrestling though. Im not gonna name any sport as the best body.

It all comes down to the athlete and how he trains and eats. A football player, wrestler, sprinter, track runnner, swimmer, etc. can be out of shape and soft.

Only the ones with dedication, hard work ethic, and unfortunatley some form of decent genetics will have the, as you put it...."best body"

Depends on what you mean by good body. If you like the skinny little bitch body type, try soccer. If you like big bulky brute try football. If you like to be lean and muscular but kinda average looking, try hockey. And it just goes on from there.

play what you want and you find fun.

    Track and field
    Swimming
    Rowing
    rock climbing
    tennis
    crossfit(lol)
    volleyball
    flag football.

Anything to get you more active will produce greater results then you have now.

As far as which will get you the better body I would have to say either tennis or the triathlon, Although most triathletes have very little lean body mass due to all the endurance they have to build up for the events.

If I were you I would do a sport that I love so you can stay motivated. Also each sport has it's own benefits. Take football for instance. A football players main goal is to have a functional body with bulk (not a very good example but you get the idea). A soccer player is light and usually cut to meet the needs of said persons goals. Honestly running is probably a good sport for you. But as said before find something you love.
    Goals:
    40YD: 4.6 (electric)
    Vertical: 35
    Bf%: 7-11
    Weight: 230
    Height: 6'1 1/2
    Deadlift: 500
    Three Board Bench: 330
    10 Inch Box Squat: 435

Ever try MMA? You don't necessarily have to fight, but the work outs are really intense!
