patdowns for women at the airport

Disclaimer: I'm not trying to start an anti-female thing here.

Lately some women have been complaining about the patdowns they are forced to go through at the airport, particularly the patdowns of the bra/breast area. They have been calling it "government sanctioned groping."

I ask these women, are you for real? Do you not see why it's neccessary? There was evidence that the airliners that exploded in Russia were destroyed by women carrying bombs in their blouses. I know that it's an invasion of privacy, but come on. They only allow female employees to perform the patdowns, and now they are planning on taking the women to a secluded area to do it so that no one else can see. What else can they do?

I admit that I wouldn't like having a guy pat down my crotch either, but I would understand the need for it, and just suck it up. I mean, doesn't the gynecologist do far "worse" things when you go for a checkup?

Actually they are to be using the backs of their hands and only woman can search woman and men / men. There has been cases where woman were do boobie honk style verses a simple rub with the back of a hand. I actually think it is pretty stupid we know the basic profile of who to look for. Go to any airport and see who gets searched and who walks through.

I heard today that they can no longer check out a womans cleavage by any means unless something is found else where. As for me go for it but be aware of the cracks I make about either it being good for me or them enjoying it.

I'm watching the news, and they're saying now that the airport security people are no longer allowed to check around the sides and underneath the breasts.

They also said that several women threatened legal action, and that some apparently opted to drive across the country rather than go through the patdowns.

What about making small sacrifices for the security of those around you?

It's not like we're asking these women to strip down and do a pole dance. The airport security people have done everything in their power to make it as painless as possible. Can't they just suck it up and stop complaining? Grow up, for God's sake. I realize that it's uncomfortable, but it's neccessary. Hell, it wouldn't surprise me if some of the female terrorists had their breasts REMOVED so that they could pack plastic explosives into their bras.

It's hypersensitive bullsh*t like this that has allowed political correctness to castrate our national security. If you don't want us to do breast inspections, fine......but then don't give us sh*t when we start pulling Arabs out of line and giving them full cavity searches, which is what we ought to be doing anyway.

Most post that I read are of closed minds who see the side they want and no other side exist. That's called tunnel vision my friends.

In the clip they've been showing on the news, the woman was not using the back of her hand.
Also, you all keep saying that as long as it's a woman doing the search it doesn't matter, what if the woman doing the search is a lesbian and she is groping for her pleasure?

The women refusing to be patted down are one thing: selfish.

I have no doubt that they go to the doctor and have much worse done to protect their own health by checking for breast cancer, cervical cancer, etc. However, they are unwilling to be patted down to protect the health of everyone on the plane, and potentially others.

However, with some of the new UV (I think its UV, I forget) scanning equipment available, its really unnecessary to do any patdowns. Of course, that equipment is even worse b/c you're basically naked on-screen.

I do have an open mind, I can see that not all Muslims and Arabs are terrorists and that profiling of any type is wrong.

But you can't see that white men have also terrorized America yet they are not being profiled.

White men aren't saying terrorism is the right thing to do? What about all the white supremacists who advocate blowing up churches and synagogues?
