I try to dress fairly decent. When I'm buying my own clothes, I try to rock cool looking shirts and nice dark jeans that I pick up from decent stores; nothing too attention-whoring or flashy. I try to match my belts to my shoes and etc.
However, my brother has a habit of gifting me very expensive clothes(Dom Rebel, Christian Audigier, etc), which I'm very thankful for, but I realize I can't afford to buy that kind of sh*t myself.
I also realize there's a VERY fine line between "fashionable" and "queer", and confidence can only help so much.I rep back
"I'm getting drunk on the reg, f**king good times on the reg, yachts on the reg, sex on the reg, basically all the good sh*t that men fantasize about."

Anyone know a site or tutorial on how to dress better for cheap. It's bad I still wear old navy polos that my mom bought for me 4 years ago. I go to the store and I have no idea what to buy or how to match. I admit im retarded when it comes to fashion. But I dont want to spend money on 100 dollar jeans.

Don't think that you have to blow your whole paycheck to look fashionable. Furthermore, if you think it looks good, wear it. Don't be the dude who has low self esteem and tries to make up for it by excessively name dropping the brands of clothing they wear or look as if they try to hard. Keep it natural. Keep that in mind. What's an example of your imagination? Check out magazines: GQ, Men's Health, etc., since they usually have some ideas also.
I keep it basic mostly. Nothing gaudy. If you're looking for online ideas, check out the Kinowear blog. It gives examples of outfits & where to buy the items, plus some advice.
Example:
First Impression:
Confident and savvy enough to mix it up.
Breakdown:
This look is a seamless hybrid of classic professional men?s wear, casual street pieces, and military-inspired elements.
Despite borrowing aspects from very different styles, the reason this look works so well is because it keeps to the most important principles of an attractive style.
1) Fit
2) Color
3) Proportion
In terms of fit, everything from the pants to the jacket looks tailored to the model. There are no problems with the color here, because it?s mostly black and white. However, the small touch of subtle red in the shoes lightens the mood of the entire outfit, making it much more playful.
If fit is the way your clothing sits on your body, proportion is how it looks in relation to your body type. Proportion is what makes a short guy look taller, fat guy look skinner, and so forth. Unfortunately, a lot of men neglect this.
Take the skinny tie for example. It works extremely well here to make this model?s small frame look bigger. A big fat tie would have actually accentuated his small/skinny frame.
The aviator sunglasses are great for guys with longer faces because it fills in their face more ? making their face look more balanced.
Lastly, this look proves that a clean pair of converse all stars is one of the most effective ways to dress down a serious/professional look to casual street style."Fork downs and plates pushes."

Meaningful achievement takes time, hard work, persistence, patience, proper intent and constant self-awareness. The path to such success is punctuated by failure, consolidation and renewed effort. Personal reconstruction is art." - MFT
