is there any difference nutrionaly? i usually have a whey shake and 1 cup of cooked oats in moning but with new job don have time so was going to ground them up and throw them in shake for morning breakfast . this ok?

Yup. Works just fine. Eat them however and whichever way you want.

agreed, not sure what all the complaining is about. unless they are referring to just throwing whole unground oats into your shake. I hate cooked oatmeal because I can't eat more than a cup without getting full as hell, so I buy a huge box of it and grind it in a coffee grinder, and I can end up eating the same amount but without the filling effects. I use it for everything, making pancakes, thickening agent, adding to smoothie, etc. It's actually potentially even better for you than cooked because it's in its most natural state, and I read somewhere that unlike many grains, it doesn't affect its GI to grind it up. I definitely do not find it to be grainy in the drink, if anything it makes it even smoother. Just make sure to pre-grind the oats in a coffee grinder since the blender isn't so good at grinding dry ingredients.
