Just took a keto test. Negative. Fourth day on it. Talkin about depressing. Im drinkin powerade zero. does that have anything to do with it? This sucks.

Does citric acid give you a false reading or does it actually kick you out of ketosis?I have been drinking alot of crystal light lemonade lately and have been getting faint if any results from keto strip. Wondering if this is why.Originally Posted by redheadlaw7

Been a year since I took biochemistry, but I think citric acid could actually kick you out of ketosis by starting up the glycolytic cycle. But if you're eating low calorie and low carb, it's not exactly going to obliterate your fat loss, though it may blunt it to some degree.
