As the title says...How do you know if you have a fast metabolism?...I am 145 pounds and have been eating 3300 calories (clean). With this amount I am gaining about .5 pounds per week, Is 3300 alot for my weight? Does this mean that I have a fast metabolism? I read people bulking with way less than 3000 cals and they are taller and heavier than me. How do you know if you have a fast metabolism?

if you can eat ALOT of anything and not put on weight... that should let you know you have a fast metabolism and 3300 cals for your weight is perfect if your gaining .5 pounds a week..... anyone heavier than you BULKING on under 3000 is not really ideal in most cases im a lil over 150 and am currently bulking on around 4000 with no fat gains so far...

cardio would burn off some of his extra cals and/or fat..it depends on how much he is actually gaining since none of it is fat
agreed it can be counterproductive, but not if done in excess. i dont think it will hurt gains too much and will actually help when bulking if you want to keep fat gains minimal. also i think a little cardio is worth it when bulking if you want to keep your cardiovascular system in good shape..also so when it comes time to cut again youre not in as bad shape haha

notice that i said a little, not on workout days, you can do some and not hurt your muscle gains..its good for overall health. you can't argue with that. use your own advice in your sig, read
yea if you do alot of cardio you will have to eat more, you may be doing too much or you may just need that many calories..everyone is different

If overall health is one of your goals, don't drop cardio, just eat more. Id rather maintain ood heart health and a fast metabolsim and get to eat more

No, you aren't wasting your time doing cardio if you're bulking. The benefits of cardio are obvious, and as long as the person who is bulking and doing cardio is replacing the calories they burned with the cardio then they are fine. They can bulk and gain weight yet still reap the benefits of doing cardio.
