Ever been verbally abused by a Pro BB'er?

Back in the summer of '83, on a hot sunday, I saw the Twin Barbarians give a show here in Wash, DC (Btw, not sure if they were ever pro). I was just a beginner in bodybuilding at the time. I was standing there wearing my classic white Gold's Gym sweatshirt on with the owners of the Gold's that used to be in Wheaton, MD. At one point in their discussion, one of the Paul brothers was looking at me intensely and then started going on a rant about pretty boys, how they'll never be successful bodybuilders, or something to that effect. I was mildly humiliated, but fortunately not too many people noticed him glaring at me. I wrote them off as a novelty act after this.

Anyone else experience something like this?

Sure. I remember they were on a center stage in the middle of a partitioned part of the old DC convention center. Mostly they talked about their torturous training routines, diet, movies stuff and not surprisingly talked a lot of tough hype. They wore fatigue/camo pants, tank tops and headbands, did some lifting demonstrations. They were pretty huge, but squat-looking- if my memory serves me correctly. All in all, it was interesting to see but I left the show with a negative feeling, but more inspired to increase the intensity of my workouts.

Why do Australians like to swim in shark-infested waters? You always see these shows on cable that show Aussie guys swimming merrily along with the complete knowledge of knowing that they're swimming in shark infested areas of water.
