    Macrobolic Nutrition

Does anyone know much about this Macrobolic Nutrition program that Gerard Dente is pimping now. It's associated with MHP as far as I know. I thought about getting the book when it comes out but I didn't know if it was worth looking into or not. It involves using a 45-35-20 ratio of carbs-protein-fat. Any thoughts on it?

I'm not familiar with the program you mentioned, although splits such as the one above are pretty common. 40-40-20 is what you hear about the most, so 45-35-20 is just a slight tweak in favor of carbs. Try it and see what works for you. Endomorphics might shy away from carbs in favor of healthy fats, but your body will ultimately determine what works for you.

I picked up a box of The Macrobolic RTDs Saturday. It comes with a very informative book on the 45-35-20 diet. Its very intresting and seems very promising. I was never a fan of low carb diets they burn way too much muscle. I am going to tweak my diet to the 45-35-20 methos as i begin to cut in a week or so.

I agree. It is a variance of the bodyforlife thing. Bodybuilding is an individual science. That it is why its called competition.

Genetics plays a bigger role than anything else. Diet, ancillaries training protcol etc.
