Today on the NBC broadcast of the Arnold Palmer invitational, Johnny Miller made a comment that implied Tiger could bench press 450 lbs. I think he weighs around 185 lbs. I mean, I have heard that he can bench well over 300, which I believe, but how can he train to bench so much when he spends hours upon hours each day hitting golf balls? (over 1,000) I think his arms and chest and shoulders would be tired out from such physical activity. Or maybe he lifts in the morning, but even then, I know I would be spent from so much work the day before.
Figured I would make a thread for golfers/fans of the sport. I dedicated 6 years of my life to better my game to become a competitive player. But then powerlifting took my eye. I have come to realize that golf and heavy lifting don't mix well for my body, so now I'm just an ol' hack .
On a side note, Johnny Miller has been known to make some comments that don't really make sense. For instance, in the second or third round of the 2004 CA Championship at Doral, he took one look at Craig Parry's swing and said something like, "Ben Hogan would cringe at the sight of that." Edit: That was the same tournament that Parry won by holing out a shot on the 72nd hole... So yeah...
Long thread, I know, but what y'all think?

Off-topic but here's Tank Abbott, the old UFC fighter. Not exactly competition form but still impressive.
And while I'm at it, here's Larry Allen. He might be getting a little bit of help from the other guys but if so, it didn't look like much.
Goals:
Bench 315
Squat 405
@185 or less. I want to dunk.

i'd like to note, before I make my comment, that I am a PGA Golf Professional:
I have inside information, and I know he quarter squats 500, and benches just over 400 without touching his chest. He does one of those.... go down to a 3 board height and back up.
Before everyone rips into him, you have to understand, he trains for his sport (i guess). IMO, oly lifts would be better. But top athletes don't need to train correctly because their talented.

i heard he lifts more than most pro golfers, and im sure he is strong/naturally athletic.
300 seems like a bit of a stretch though, how tall is he?"Something about your dick getting dirty from all the poop and crap..."
"So you shave yours?"
"One thing about scissors... They scare the **** out of me being near my cock... What if I make a wrong move and cut it open... "
