gallon of milk a day/ organic milk

Who else besides me drinks a gallon of milk a day?

After reading a ton of articles lately about how bad the chemicals have gotten in regular milk I have been thinking about swapping to organic milk but I cant seem to justify the extra $4 a day. Anyone have any good articles on the subject, cant seem to find anything with real data, just opinions.

    thanks,

well I love milk and its gret for you, protein and slow digesting carbs. Daily average is between 3/4-1 gallon of milk a day. And quite frankly im addicted to milk, I feel hungry and like I am missing something if I dont get a big glass before bed every night

I drink 3/4 -1 gallon a day as well. I've been doing it for years and havent had any problems. (I drink skim) IMO I wouldnt worry about organic.

yes, lactose is a slow digesting carb. Its rated as a (46) on the glycemic index which makes it low or a slow digesting/burning carb. even lower than oatmeal (61). It is a dissacharide and despite how slow it digests is still techinically considered a simple sugar, but due to the very slow digestion it is pretty negligible to your diet. Id almost say its pretty much neutral.

And milk is mainly casein (slow digesting) protein as well.....great stuff.

Im skim only here as well
