(EDIT) Pics near bottom
Well today was the first day i worked out at a gym. Ive worked out at home for the past 2-3 weeks and I went in for a free 7 day trial. I decided to give the rippetoe program a try.
Day 1
Squats - 3x5
set 1: 115lbs
set 2: 115lbs
set 3: 135lbs (Bar was a lil wobbly going to take time to get use to this exercise)
Bench 3x5
set 1: 115lbs (easy)
set 2: 135lbs (good)
set 3: 135lbs (last 2 reps were hard)
Deadlift 1x5
set 1: 135lbs (good)
Dips: 2x15
15-20 mins cardio on the bike.
I just started out with the 35lbs and the 45lbs weights because i had no idea where to start from. Friday I will add 5-10 lbs on the exercise. Any comments or tips for anything would be great.
Also how much does the Olympic bar weight so i have a better understanding of how much i am actually lifting.(anwsered thanks... lbs changed to include bar)
I have the following sups.
BMF Hardcore Whey Protein
BMF Hardcore Weigh Gainer
BMF Hardcore Creatine
Animal Pump
Multi Vit and Fish Oil

Btw, your suppose to keep the same weight consistantly throughout the 3 sets.

Like an above poster said stick to your routine. Don't listen to the guys telling you to run splits and crap. You will get nowhere doing them when starting out. Stick to your routine and you make great gains and build a strong foundation. Worry about splits when you have bulked up a bit and start to see some nice muscles. They will get you nowhere fast trust me. I did that crap for almost a year and barely put on size. Stared doing a crapload of compound movements with only a few isolations and that helped a lot. Good luck starting out man. Glad to know you're squatting and deadlifting unlike the new guys at my gym.
