I've been squatting for approximately 4 months. Right now i dont have a spotter or a squat rack. So I have to do a power clean and military press the weight first before I squat. Right now I can only do 65 lbs. going all the way down but I got pretty long legs too. My quads measure 20 inches. I'm an ectomorph too and I weigh 120 lbs. How much do you all squat and what's your measurements?

well I already said I dont have a spotter or a squat rack so I can only military press 65 max and I've been squatting wit that. I can squat all the way to the ground for 3 sets of 10 reps easily. I dont go to failure because it's hard to put the bar back on the bench. But yeah I'm pretty weak in all my lifts. I also weigh less for my size (my chest is 38 inches and I can only do 20 lbs. in dumbbell flyes) but that's not important since this is bodybuilding and as long as i'm making gains I'm happy.

Is it safe just dropping the weights like that? I lift in my garage and my parents would be pissed off if I cracked the pavement or something. BUt yeah that's a good idea about dropping the weights. I guess I could do it in the grass. When I squat I usually get into an uncomfortable position and lower the bar onto the bench.
I guess I just need to up the weights and see what happens.

u can still squat without a spot, if you got no bar to drop it on, then just drop it behind you worse cases, i don't see how that would hinder you from making progress
