Alright well I'm back from vacation and things are finally in order (except my work is a living hell). I joined 2 contests to get back into all of this. The first contest is on bb.com, the one that MS is putting on, it looks to be a huge contest so should be fun.
The second contest is at work, I overheard some of the chief officers and other managers talking about a contest from Jan 1st to May 1st. $100 buy in whoever loses the most weight (% of weight) wins. I am a long shot since those guys are pretty hefty so the % can get pretty large. And I also don't necessarily care about losing weight so much as fat, but I figure it will be fun and if I win then I may be able to snag about a grand.
I'm going to get new stats and pictures jan 1st or 2nd, please don't laugh I know I gained a bit from back during the summer when I was at my leanest.
I'll post again tomorrow, just stopped in to say I was back and that I'm ready to get back to the marathon. Oh and I got that ipod +nike thing which is pretty damn sweet. It keeps track of my distance and things when I run and talks to you while you run to tell you your progress. After your run you can log the workout on the website by plugging in your ipod. Pretty damn cool!

Sorry for the late update, my week has really really sucked. But it is over, hopefully next week will be better.

Things are good, we finally got back together last week. But all along we have been pretty much together just without the "title" as highschool as that sounds
Diet is doing well, please critique.
Here is my diet that I just got finalized today, it is pretty much on par with what I had done in the past.
Meal 1:
1/2 cup oatmeal w/ sliced banana, splenda packet, and some cinnamon.
Protein Shake
Meal 2:
1/2 cup oatmeal w/ apple
Go Lean Kashi Roll
Meal 3:
3/4 cup brown rice
piece of salmon
Meal 4:
3/4 cup brown rice
Turkey burger -or- piece of chicken (8oz) (no skin no bone)
Meal 5:
2 cups broccoli
piece of chicken (8 oz)
Meal 6:
1/2 cup cottage cheese (low fat)
2 tbsp natural peanut butter w/ small amount of cinnamon
Snack:
1/2 cup dry roasted almonds throughout the day at school or work.
Breakdown:
Calories: 2610
Fat: 87.5g
Carb: 217g
Protein: 212g
On workout days I will also have a protein shake after the workout which adds another 240 calories, 2g Fat, 8g Carb, 48g Protein
This doesn't include supplements, I'll be taking creatine, glutamine, multi vit, vit c, and some fish oil pills. They aren't a major player in calories or anything.
I am starting on a 4 day split for workouts.
Day 1: Deltoid and triceps
Day 2: Back, Traps
Day 3: off
Day 4: Legs, Forearms
Day 5: Chest, Biceps
Day 6: off
Day 7: off
And I am going to run 3 days a week, mostly elliptical at the start.
How's it look?
I got the ipod nano and the ipod + nike link for christmas, so that should be fun to mess around with while running8 WK CUT!

Here is my run. Not the best, but for not having run for awhile and it being freezing cold I am pretty satisfied
I may stick with the post workout elliptical for awhile though, btw I love the nike+ thing, its pretty sweet.

had a rough day at work yesterday. which makes me uneasy because i start the calamity of work and school next week :-/
anyway i didnt go to the gym because of my 12 hour work day and then needing to drive to fresno to see my gf for the weekend.
the diet was good most of the day, but at the end i had some supreme pizza that my gf made....and a bloody mary.

Sorry, it was a really bad week. First week back to school and work was a disaster.
My employees just aren't working out. On a plus side the organization things I do a good job and so does the company I work for, but they both agree I need different employees, and I need them in a hurry. The next month is going to be pretty intense.
The diet was going well for the most part, except on Thursday. I went out for a friends bday and drank too much and ate pretty horribly. I have tried to keep the diet in order. But it keeps going off and on.
I did get to the gym yesterday which felt great. I did bicepts and chest. I'm pretty sore today. The gf is still in town so I won't be able to go to the gym today, plus I have a mile long of homework to finish up with.
I promise I'll do daily updates from here on out. I'm trying to stay on course but geez its really hard only have 15-20 minutes of free time a day, and most of that is just geared towards winding down and watching a tv show before bed.8 WK CUT!

today went pretty well. Eating was not perfect but the timing was okay. I got up at 3am to get to work :-/ ugh... And I have to do the same tomorrow. My day ends tomorrow starts at 3am and ends at 6pm. Hopefully I can get to the gym then if I am not passed out crying somewhere.
I have all of my meals prepared for tomorrow so I should be good in that regard. I'll log back tomorrow.8 WK CUT!

hey all, just posting to keep you all up to speed. the past 3 days have been really good for me. the diet has been spot on. the only drawback is that i cant get to the gym. ive had some hmwk to do, so the gym would cut into my 5 1/2 hours of sleep a night.
i guess i really will test the theory that diet is 80% of losing fat hopefully gym tonight!

Just posting to tell you all what's going on.
Well I got back into the normal routine when my food ran out :-/
I am back on track for the week, hopefully it keeps up, but I had a couple of pretty bad days.
I am still at about 55 - 60 hour work weeks and about 30 hour school weeks, so my time is kind of non-existent. I would really like to get work to die down so I could find some time for the gym. Only time will tell.
The diet was good today however, and hopefully it keeps up like that.8 WK CUT!

Things are good. We are able to see eachother enough lately. Usually just on the weekends. I got her to get into a dieting competition as well see who can lose the most weight (to her, fat to me ) by June, and the winner takes the loser on a trip. My trip (if I win) is that she has to take me to pismo beach to go 4 wheeling on the sand dunes. If she wins I have to take her to yosemite to hike half dome.
So things are still looking promising. Each day I want to get to the gym but I am right in the middle of mid terms which negates that extra hour a day of some time of free time.
Diet has been good lately. I am still in the contest at work, so I am looking to make about $600 in May, if I can keep on track. I just really wish I could get to the gym, I hate feeling weak... :-/8 WK CUT!

Not sure who all is still around. If nobody is I'll probably go ahead and leave this thread alone.
Well I finished my second semester...whew it was a rough one.
After the semester was over, we all were required to take a summer school class called global competition. We went to Hong Kong and Taipei for 2 weeks and learned global business.
The experience was amazing. It was a very unique opportunity to go oversees with about 15 of my really close friends. I would do it again in a heartbeat.
As for weightloss... well that is of course another subject. I wasn't able to get into the gym as the semester picked up. Got lazy again... Gained weight when I went abroad.
Since I have been back (about 3 weeks) I have been in the gym about 4-5 times a week. My strength is slowly getting back up there. I would probably be able to rep 225 about 8 or 9 times I bet. Each week I increase the weight a bit, and it's going nicely.
The weight is tapering off a bit too. I started at 242. I'm down to about 238... So I will just enjoy the summer and my free time. I am still working about 50 hours a week, and I decided to help one of the professors write a book, so that takes up some more free time. But I still find atleast an hour for the gym each day, which is really great. I like seeing my body get back to what it was.

Bah, I know I know... definately my fault for not keeping my diet in check. As a small update...then I will let this thread die... I am still going very strong for the summer. It feels really good to get that addiction back.
Also, as an added plus when the school year hits up again it should be a lighter load. I have 1 less class and they are night classes. So hopefully I will be looking at a 8am - 4:30pm work 6p - 9p school. Plus the usually crazy homework. But I can definately fit in gym time with that schedule. Unlike this last year where going to the gym caused me to give up my precious 5 hours of sleep a night.
