Is there a way to build up stamina with lifting? Whenever I do bench, I'll do 4 sets and my first set will be 12 but by the time I get to the 4th set, I'll do 6 reps. It isn't just me getting tired, it is literally as if all the strength has been sapped.
With other exercises like bicep curls or legs, I may see a 2 rep drop but I generally stay the same every set. Any exercise that involves my triceps (bench, dips, shoulder press, military press) generally wear out by my 3rd set.
I see guys in the gym who work out triceps like they can go on all day but for some reason, I can't. How do I build up stamina?
By the way, I do eat sufficiently before a workout so energy isn't the problem. Like I said, my other lifts aren't really affected by fatigue.

Is your goal stamina, or size?
My triceps also burn out quickly with higher reps, so I generally hit them with heavier weights and lower reps.
Sometimes things like this can be an indicator of which rep range a bodypart will respond best to. Instead of ignoring it or trying to change it, pay attention to it and learn from it.
That said, stamina in general will increase over time.Who was this love of yours?
