Condolences to the family of the man killed on the flight

****!!! That's some turbulence on a flight

One account about someone else, who *was* wearing a seat belt, was "One minute he was just sitting down wearing a seatbelt, the next minute, he must have blacked out because he found himself on the floor with other people. There was water everywhere, blood everywhere, people's belongings just strewn all over the plane."

The second worst turbulence I've had was London to Singapore as we crossed the Bay of Bengal, it's a hotspot for turbulence, but it was nothing compared to this flight in the news! fleet of ambulances to meet the plane on emergency landing

That sounded like a crazy one...


Aircraft tracking provider FlightRadar 24 said the flight encountered "a rapid change in vertical rate, consistent with a sudden turbulence event" at 0749 GMT, based on flight tracking data.

"I saw people from across the aisle going completely horizontal, hitting the ceiling and landing back down in like really awkward positions. People, like, getting massive gashes in the head, concussions," Dzafran Azmir, a 28-year-old student onboard the flight, told Reuters after arriving in Singapore.

Unless I have to go pop a squat, I wear that seatbelt and it’s also a good idea to wear shoes, (fast ones) if you need to get away from that plane in a hurry, those flip flops won’t do you any favors.
