Even with a busted engine and 250k miles?
I had a rebuilt engine out in my 25 year old Toyota with 300k miles. Cost 7k in total. In hindsight I could’ve paid 10k for the same model car with an original engine with 150k miles. I chose the new engine because I’ve owned the car for 16 years so I knew everything else ran perfect and there’s wasn’t a spot of rust on it.

Besides changing the oil lol. Regardless 250k is all you can hope for out of most engines. Read up on that particular model and see what other problems are common and if it’s worth keeping alive. My car for example needed all the rubber bushings replaced due to age but I did the labor myself so the cost wasn’t a big deal.
