Life is good here in Alberta, but immigration dragging down GDP per Capita isn’t something existing Canadians would see as an indicator of dropping quality of life — it’s not like that changes your own job/income etc

New people not immediately contributing as much to raising GDP per Capita makes sense to me but I dunno, especially at the rate Canada is growing
